Well I am not allowed to speak on behalf of all the Iranians, but me and my friends, respect you as brothers, we are culturally, liguistically etc... related people and yet have to rediscover each other and be more friendly and supporting each other.

Every country, big or small, should respect another countrie's independence and sovereignity, no one is the big brother of the others, small or big are equal, we are living in several states but firsly the ethnicities in our country are common in many cases, and secondly we are very close culturally to each other. So all I can say is that our relations between the people should be more intense, our relationship is not all about the relationship between our states, but I propose mutual respect and brotherhood between our peoples.

Can't agree more. People and nationalities have to reach accross to understand and respect each other's culture, history, linguistics, conventions as well as their territorial integrity. People have to look beyond what the ethnic stereotypes have been defined and look into the future for cooperation and mutual understanding. By and large this is a territory we live in and it is up to us to make it prosper. The days of Big Brotherhood are over and each country no matter what the size is has to be treated equally and with respect.

I agree with everyone in this thread.
When I was in Uzbekistan, I read one article in "Ekonomicheskaya obozreniye" about the national and cultural identities of of all countries in the world. Author tried to prove that every country chose its foreign policies towards other country ,firstly according to the interest, and then according to its cultural relationship and etc...
As an example, he wrote Germany's policy towards Latvia, Litva and Estonia, USA's policy towards England, Australia, and etc... And he concluded that everything in the world , in our example foreign policy, economic aid, investments strongly depends on interest and this interest is in most cases related to the cultural relationship of particular countries.
In my opinion, our countries, which are culturally close , such as all Central Asian countries and Iran, Arabian World, Turkey, Azerbayjan should support each other in every sphere and behave as equal partners.
But now, unfortunately, none of them is trying to apply this.

"Vostok delo tonkoye" someone said in DB. It was completely correct.
