O'zingiz uchmoqchi bo'lsangiz va Aeroflotni tanlasangiz, Hamburgdan uchaqolganingiz ma'qul, menimcha.

I just made a conclusion about all russian flight companies, including Transaero, basing on Aeroflot.
Once luggage lost, second time delay about 8 hours...

I flew many times with Transaero. Probably the cheapest ticket and the ICE-train is included both to Frankfurt and from Frankfurt. The transit in the new airport Domodevo without any transfers like in Aeroflot from Sheremet'evo 1 to Sheremet'evo 2 with stupid personel. Transaero has the best safety record in Russia as well.
Uzbekistan is much better then all above but expensive. No train, but direct flight. I bought Uzbek tickets for my mother just because didn't want her to have any headacks in Moscow.

I can not recommend since the last time I flew with Transaero was 3 years ago. But I am not sure that something has changed. By the way they bought 2 Jumbo jets (747). But I am not sure what flights do they use them on.

You can take 30 kg luggage.

If you only transit then it's fine. I sometimes decide to spend couple of days in Moscow with friends that is why had to deal with Domodedovo's personnel. Just make sure your connection is not too long, the transit hall in Domodedovo does not match to that of Frankfurt: there is a chance that a long wait in Domodedovo can actually turn your arrival in Tashkent into a paradise come true:D

This summer I flew with British Air - best airlines ever! The route was - Shahrim ;) - London - Erevan - Tashkent - Tbilisi - London - Shahrim = $1600. Due to the great service and high quality mashine :) the flight went smoothly and seemingly fast.

Unfortunately, they say BA will not operate Tash - Heathrow flights any more :( as the demand is low.

And actually I want it all be connected, just get the whole package from STA or Orbitz and get over with it. Right now the one that goes Shahrim-NY-MOS-Tash and obratno is 1300 s xvostikom and thru Frankfurt is around 1500. I will think about the option you mentioned, asking the family to buy it and mail it, I will check all other options too. At the end of the day it is better to pay a lil' extra than lose stuff or even worse...

когда я летала. самыми дешёвыми были билеты в том году через С.-Петербург авиакомпания Пулково. Самолёт и сервис были отличные. Единственный минус, что багаж не перебросили с самолёта на самолёт, а пришлось его в Питере получить, а потом опять сдать. Было не очень, но не дорого.

we have them here as well... I cant say they offer best prices.
They sell only Aeroflot and Turkish Havo Yollari to Uzbekistan - not cheapest ones.

As I said - the best solution is Uzbek Havo Yollari - no transits - 6 hours and you are there...
In US they offer the best prices, the only problem is they need a prove that one is a student. But they offer some ways how to go around it. Example SF-Moscow-SF $650

Мы Lufthansa летаем. Последний билет Ташкент-Франкфурт-Денвер/Филаделфия-Франкфурт-Ташкент обошёлся в 1334.

Правда во Франкфурте багаж надо самой переводить, когда в Ташкент летишь.

Вы тоже до Франкфурта на United летите? Там проблемы какие-то с багажом, т.к. между авиалиниями соглашения нет. Багаж уходит в аэропорт, но Вы туда попасть не сможете (если Гринкард нет), поэтому в US надо сказать чтобы на стикер багажный написали "до Ташкента" - тогда во Франкфурте через паспортный контроль не надо проходить чтобы багаж забрать.

Вообщем, каша страшная.

believe me, 100 EUR is not worth risking your health and life with aeroflot and whole transit problems...
Besides, Uzbek Havo Yollari has now German Railway vouchers in offer. It was a good deal for me.

Lufthansa doesnt fly to Tashkent, however it operates combined flights to Tashkent with Uzbekistan Havo Yullari.
