passport issue

i have a problem with my passport, although I donno whether it's a serious or not. So the expiration date of my passport is February 29, 2013. However, as you see that date doesn't exist in that year. I'm going to appoint a meeting in order to get a visa. in the DS-156 I put February 28 as the expiration date (because the computer didn't accept February 29). Is it gonna be a problem for me, that i put the wrong date, or not? Will it affect me to get the US visa or not?? Please, help me solve this problem.

Ba'zi injiqlariga ro'para kelib qolinsa shuni ham muammo qilib ensani qotirishi mumkin, lekin asosan unchalik bosh qotiradigan narsaga o'xshamayapti, faqat duoni ko'proq qilib turasiz, "yomonlariga ro'para qilmagin ey Xudo" deb..

He-he, mani buvim 29 fevralda tug'ilganlar. Hozir 75ga kirganlar :D (baxtimizga umrlari uzoq bo'lsin, bitta-yu bitta buvim :D) Hazillashib man hammadan yoshman, kabisa yilini hisobga olsalaring hali 19 ga ham kirmaganman deb, maqtanib qo'yadilar. Biz ham ularni, ha, siz hali devochkasiz (albatta, iskustvenniy tish, ko'zoynak va eng asosiysi oylik pensiya pulini hisobga olmaganda) deymiz.

C`mon , i dont think it's gonna be problem for you!! Sometimes they dont even look at your face , if they want to give you visa , if they dont want to , even if you have D pasport (Blue , Diplomatic Passport) they still can refuse to give you a visa!! So Dont worry , just go ahead and apply for Visa! Good luck!
P.S dont forget to tell them that u gonna come back once you done with ur studies/travel to UZB ;)

why dont you call consular seciton of the US embassy (or email them) asking the questions. record date, time, name and title of the person who provides you with the information on what you have to do and fill in yoru application accordingly. if there are any problems in the future, you'll present the alibi. this is how i would do it. you always have to be on the safe side and able to defend yourself providing irrefutable facts.
