What do yuo think about this?
Holy Wars...
Brother will kill brother
Spilling blood across the land
Killing for religion
Something I don't understand
Fools like me, who cross the sea
And come to foreign lands
Ask the sheep, for their beliefs
Do you kill on God's command?
A country that's divided
Surely will not stand
My past erased, no more disgrace
No foolish naive stand
The end is near, it's crystal clear
Part of the master plan
Don't look now to Israel
It might be your homelands
Holy wars
Upon my podium, as the
Know it all scholar
Down in my seat of judgement
Gavel's bang, uphold the law
Up on my soapbox, a leader
Out to change the world
Down in my pulpit as the holier
Than-thou-could-be-messenger of God
...The Punishment Due
Wage the war on organized crime
Sneak attacks, repel down the rocks
Behind the lines
Some people risk to employ me
Some people live to destroy me
Either way they die
They killed my wife, and my baby
With hopes to enslave me
First mistake... last mistake!
Paid by the alliance, to slay all the giants
Next mistake... no more mistakes!
Fill the cracks in, with judicial granite
Because I don't say it, don't mean I ain't
Thinkin' it
Next thing you know, they'll take my thoughts away
I know what I said, now I must scream of the overdose
And the lack of mercy killings

There is no Holy War in Islam if that was what you were referring to, It is a christian notion, Holy War. They did during Crusades.Holy War is totally alien notion to Islam. Thanks,
Cheers :)

Dear Brothers,
The religion is the most private value of humanbeing! Nobody won, wins, will win religious discussion. The most of the wars were hidden by religious masks!
Please do not make religious intrigues! We must live our lifes in this world (regardless we will be granted with death)!
May the Superior (Allah or God, whatever the Superior's Name; the origins are the same) help to live well along together!
Hope to your understanding!
Kindest regards,
Bek

Dear Freestyler,
I have already reaplied to your question, what the Jihad is. Go to topic "Hadith Collections" and enjoy your reading. I hope by that time you'll figure out what Jihad is. Read the 4th and 5th posts in that thread, thanks,

Could you explain it in plain and concise English?
I find it a bit hard and time-consuming to understand highly spiritual, extraeloquent texts of yours (a few more compliments :)).
I think that others might benefit from that, too.

Oh common, do you really want me to have a wrong view about Jihad? I think God would not forgive you for that.
I am sure there is a plain explanation for "Jihad" (and I think you with your admirably strong thirst for truth and reasoning are capable of finding something digestive for me).
Otherwise how on earth are the ordinary people like me with only average grey stuff in their heads will be able to get a clear and objective picture about "Jihad"?
Looking forward to something more tangible. ;)

In a nutshell "Jihad"-is any form of struggle in the way of God to establish Peace and Justice on the face of the earth. The word for War in arabis is "Harb" not Jihad, because "Jihad"-literally does not mean war, it means struggle. Going to College to bebenfit the Humanity in the path of Allah is Jihad. Telling the Truth to a Tyrant Governor in the face of the danger is Jihad. Fighting with Kuffar, when they kill the innocent people and become obstacle in the sparead of the Message of Islam is Jihad.Remeber, Islam took over the hearts of the people not with the sword but with the Word of Truth, Anyways, I strongly recommend to read the posts in Hadith collections to get a better view of "Jihad", the reason being the enemies of Islam and the Muslims overall describe the unislamic militant acts to be a Jihad in order to fool and misguide the people, that's why they got different and myriads of steretypes about the notion of "Jihad",
Cheers, :)

Heh, your explanation of "Jihad" indeed seems very innocent at first sight. "Struggle" sounds like a good substitute for "War".
But I wonder if the Chechen guerillas, Taleban, Hezbit-Tahrir, Hamas and several others share the same notion about "Jihad" as you do.
When I look at what they are bringing to the world in the name of God I begin to doubt that "Holy War is totally alien notion to Islam" as you said, <Lucky>.
In fact, I dont' really care what actual/authentic Islam says about "Jihad" and many other things. It is obvious that any religion is only directed to the virtue and wellbeing of its followers.
(In my opinion, the explanations in Koran and Hadiths can be ineterperted in many different ways. Some might take them literally, some otherwise, some might even tailor them according to their evil needs. Wohabism is arguably an example)
What really bothers me is how people treat and implement those rules and notions in real life (i.e., the imperical results of practicing a relgion). Apparantly, Islam has good intentions in many if not all respects.
But what it brings about in reality, seems different and not quite so innocent and benefactory. So <Lucky>, whenever I "insult" (as you wished to put it) muslims, don't think that I insult Islam, I only criticise what effects bring the wrong interepretations and the corruption of Islam.
Also, you wrote: "Islam took over the hearts of the people not with the sword but with the Word of Truth"
Well that's an arguable statement, you know.

"...papa rimskiy musulmonlardan kechirim so'radi za crusaides." --?
Hmm, a very noble gesture indeed. I wonder if the Arab Sheikhs (or whoever) would apologise to Iranians and the people of Central Asia or to the Christians and ...?

I am not expert on islam, but let me remind you one hadith. When muslims won the battle of Badr, Muhammad(SAV) says that they are returning to a jihadul KUBRO (GREAT) after winning 'small jihad' of Badr. The greatest jihad, by the meaning of this hadith is 'nafs' ( passion and appetite for the world).
