Hi guys.

This is attept to summarize different viewpoints.

There are mainly two different viewpoint on Talibans: pro (Mahmud, Lucky, Icycool, Nobody… ) and contra ( Freestyler, Sun6500, Javanmard , me…).

Discussion started from “Taliban Vandali?” topic and grew up beyond it. In the beginning of discussion “pro” team defended ( or maybe justified) taliban’s vandalism
Mostly by reproaching Freestyler and me for what American, Russian, Chinese imperialism did against Muslims, though we expressed our position on this matter:
Islam is not object of Imperialism. Imperialism can exploit different ideas, including but not restricted to uniting proletariat (communism), uniting muslims ( khalifat ideas) … Finally, everybody accepted that destruction of Buddha statues was not a good act, but most important issue transformed into : “are Talibans good or evil? ”. And no agreement was reached on this matter.
Arguments of pro team: talibans united country and made people to feel more free and happy (???), talibans destroyed opium plantations ( maybe it was made partially in order to avoid drop of price ), talibans brought real Islam and justice to Afghani people (???),
Pr. Karimov wished good luck to Taliban’s (!!!), they are not gonna threat borders of neighboring countries (???).

A cannot stop and comment on last two issues.
I do not believe that pr.Karimov meant it. It was only a political gesture. My point is:
Political system in Uzbekistan is based on separation religion from state, which is exactly opposite of what Talibans are trying to impose: to live, act and judge according to Islam teachings. And the way as “brotherhood” sounds on this MB makes sure that Talibans’ won’t stop.

I found many points of agreement with positions of Freestyler, Sun6500.
I have same feelings towards Talibans as Javanmard has, but cannot support him right now on position of financing anti-Taliban movement, because as far as Talibans are not threatening neighboring countries and civil war is going on this is internal affair of Afghanistan.

Mahmud’s and Nobodies positions look alike and sound like everybody who is blaming Taliban’s blames Islam, though Mahmud makes it in more polite form. But I cannot accept seriously his position, because he is enjoying California and he has no relatives and friends in neighboring to Afghanistan countries.

It looks like I understand position of Lucky (does not mean I accept it):
He believes in achieving justice through Islam.
Although he devoted whole paragraph to praising of “Uzbek way of democracy”, one can see disappointment between lines. That’s why I respect his position, but still I am not sharing his hopes.
I think strength of any religion is in belief. True beleif is between you and God only. When Talibans are trying to use force (banning of Navruz) in order to convince people it shows their weakness. True believer never forces anyone in his belief, he knows that his actions sound more than force. He is BELEIVER and knows that only God will judge.
And the way of realization of your beleif depends on education and knowledge, which I can not attribude to Taliban's.

This is my opinion only and all inferences I’ve made can be argued.
