Do you have to get ПМЖ when you get immigrant visa?

Hi, all. Just got my immigrant visa and an envelope with it. Now the question is: will I be able to leave Uzbekistan if I didnt get ПМЖ? I heard taht they might give me hard time at the airport. Had anyone left the country the same way.


Please, help!!!

P.S.: I'm getting round trip ticket, because I am planning to come back to Uzbekistan in 2 months.

You can get your ПМЖ from Uzbek Embassy in DC (depending on which state you will reside), but it will cost you more and take long time. Or, you can get your ПМЖ from OVIR within a week or so and pay less. Anyway, in my opinion, there souldn't be any problem at the airport as long as you have an exit visa from OVIR.

For sure, check with OVIR.

No, you do not have to get it if you have valid ovir, valid propiska and valid passport... This question was addressed before so many times. Please try to browse the immigration section before you open a new thread.
