What about Yemen?

I know a lot of user of this forum live/ visited different countries. May be some of you were in Yemen. If yes, plz I need any kind of information about this country, cauze one of my closest person went there and I don't have any idea in what conditions that person is living...:? Plz guys if u know anything about this mysterious country Yemen, I would be more than happy.

I live in Saudi Arabia and I know a lot of Yemenis and know little about Yemen.
There is nothing dangerous or horrible in Yemen, but I hope your buddy doesn't become addicted to QAT ;). I'm sure you don't know what qat is. It is some kind of herbs that Yemenis chew and they like it, it has an effect as a weak drug and it's known scientifically as "Catha Edulis". Here is a picture of Yemenis with qat.

I hope also your buddy isn't a terrorist because there is nothing easier in Yemen than buying a weapon, what kind??? you name it!!!
There are a lot of visitors to Yemen who visit it once and fall in love with it. I've heard about a French lady who went there and married a Yemeni tribal leader she is currently living there.
