A friend sent me a link which helps you to find the direction of the qibla thru Google maps. This is a very nice tool which helps you visualize the general direction of the qibla anywhere in your city. The program does not work for every city in the world, though.

Just enter your street adress (or simple the city) and a red line appears extends from your location in the direction of qibla.
