People,
I am a complete dummy in immigration issues.Help me out here.
I want to invite my sister to United States. However I have no legal status,I am illegal.Obviously, when she applies for US visa, she will be rejected.
I was wondering if I can change her middle name and have her apply for visa with different middle name. She can say that she is my Uncle's daughter.
How would the US consulate be able to verify this information?I know they usually tell you if you qualify for visa at the spot,if no,they return your passport. In other words, they do not have any way of verifying the authencity of presented information.
Does anyone have any ideas?I would like to get some constructive feedback and will look into it myself. It would be nice to ask somebody who works at US consulate, particularly consular section.
I know that presenting false information may result in getting a ban period. But what the heck, she doesn't stand chances of getting it anyways,so I am trying to find other ways.
thanks for your inputs.

When you came to the US and which kind of visa you had? I mean if you write any information about your family with the names on any kind of application they can find out about it very easy!

that is actually why I want to change her middle name, obtain new passport and have her apply for visa so when she fills out an application, she is not going to write about members that are already in the US.She will apply as my uncle's daughter. How is US consulate to know who her parents are? They do not have a database of all uzbek citizens..

Afaik I completed one application with names of my whole family if you did so it is not going to work even if you change middle name the name surname actually
same.
If your sister applies for visa anyway it is better not to tell about you at all.
And it depends what kind of visa she is asking.

the key is to find out if they have a mechanism to check and verify presented information.Say,she gives a different middle name and different names for her parents. What are the chances that there are identical last names in Uzbekistan, they are very high. With different first names, she will pretend to be a member of a completely different family. So the question here is:How does the council find out if she is telling the truth.I mean, they are not going to call ministry of itnernal affairs to check her information, are they?
Does anybody work at US embassy, come on,speak up people!

i gave the attorney the same question the other day. answer:

And it depends what kind of visa she is asking.. Her reasons.

Even though, there might be an influence of close relatives' cases, in general its on individual matter. Its not necessary to mention about those in US, however if asked by a consular, the truth needs to be told absolutely.

On the other hand, like you, Buratino said, they don't have the database of all ppl, neither have a chance to check every person (may be unless they take the administrative check up time for that) and I heard from one lady how she lied ab. her family relationships and succeded  (((her husband died, but she told she is married to either her cousin's or sister's husband, which had the same last name and was a rich guy))).

So, put everything on a scale and decide..

good luck.

the key is to find out if they have a mechanism to check and verify presented information.

they can search the database while the interview and easily find the siblings who violated the law through checking last and middle names.

if:

Say,she gives a different middle name and different names for her parents

why not to change the last name also  ? i mean, she is going to get a new passport anyways, isn't she? :D

because like i already said in my previous post, if they see ANYTHING suspicious (they are psychologists, remember that too. uuuups, palonchini singlisimasmisiz - yooooooo', no baribir fizionomiyada o'zgarishni ko'rib qolish ehtimoli katta) it can lead either to denial or taking her case to administrative checking, through which they may find out everything.
