I heart that getting employment in UNDP/Uzbek office works out through tanish-bilsih or Money. Is it correct? Does anybody know anything about this?

Not sure for Money part, sounds absurd
But tanish bilish can be discussed, given...
A person has participated in a project, has participated in a lot of projects. Consequently people there now know him, and he knows the structure better than any other person who hasnt been there yet. So would accepting that person to a permanent or long termed position be - tanish bilish or consideration of /relevant/ experience?

Buni bunda aloqasi yoq-ku! Men UNDP ni nazarda tutmadim, bu tizim deyarli hamma yerda bor narsa. EU Comission, WTO Secretariat, istagan davlat vedomosti. Men aytmoqchi bolgan misolda (hoh u tanish bilishchilik hoh boshqa usul bolsin) - tanishini kochadan olib elib otkazib quyishdan ozgina farq qiladi. Unda ish orqali tanilgan insonga moyillik korsatish nazarda tutilgan.

It's probably true but you just do the best you can and hope for the best. You can't control everything and my best advice is to live your life following your beliefs and morals and hope for the best. :cool:

I think this is how almost every job in every orgaization works everywhere. I don't think anybody wold call it corruption though.

Uzbek UNDP da tanish bilish bulishi albatta keark. Bulmasam short listingga tushmay qolish havfi 90% (only if you do not have outstanding background in poverty reduction, non-government, non profit projects and etc). Toshkentda bir ikki marta topshirib kurganman, short listing bulmaganman-u lekin feedback olgan edim. Usha administrative assistanti aytgan edi " sizga ozgina podderjka kerak ofisimizning ichida. Our boss gave us a limit of 10 people to shortlist, so virtually all these people are someone to our office workers". Shunaqa gaplar. Networking corruption emas. Bu - pure art. Agar odamlar bilan kelisha olishni bilsang, ahmoq bulsang ham Goldman Sachsga olishadi. Bunaqa example lar kup. Usha Uzbek UNDP da ham lobotryaslar yetarli.

Уважаемый Архимед! За "Отвечаю!" по-любому не получится. Слишком уж сложно вы замутили: Пора, Коррупция, Кайфу ишрат. Вы же можете представить, что все эти мероприятия это всего лишь ваша искренняя благодарность за то, что Вам помогли. А то, что эти люди, после того как напьются "чая" в ресторане, "искупаются" в сауне и в конце ещё закурят "трубку мира" где-нибудь в подъезде - не должно Вас смущать. У них свой маленький мир - мир развлечений и разврата, где постоянная финансовая подпитка просто необходимость. Они привыкли так жить - мы нет (скромно сказал автор поста, потупив взор). Се ля ви Архимед! СЕ ЛЯ ВИ! Лучше давайте начните искать контакты. АСАП

UNDP ga joylashish uchun albatta skill kerak, lekin sizdagi skill hozirda uzbekistondagilani kupchiligida bor. Uzbekistondagi eng shaffof chet el idoralari ham vaqt utishi mobaynida hozirgi kunda "uzbeklashib" borayopti. yuqorida aytgan 10% podderjkasi bu ularga ajratilgan pora va qolgan sauna restorant yoki boshqalari naqd bulmagan pul kurinishi.
