There are a number of companies which let you file your taxes for free. Usually you get your taxes done for free if your income is below some level. For example I did my taxes with CompleteTax for free. I've used them for the last 3-4 years.
IRS will be depositing my federal tax refund in by Feb. 16 ;)

Depedning on your income it could be very easy. If you can file an 1040EZ you definitley don't need any help. You just follow the steps and instructions on the form. If you are a student they usually have tax help provided at the university.
