Hello everybody!
I'm planinng to visit your beutiful country in private arangment, but I have to get first letter of invitation to obtain visa.
I found on internet, online application, but it cost 150$ which is to much for me.
Is anybody here willing to write me one?I will gladly write one for anybody coming to Croatia. ;)
I'm planning to go in April to Uzbekistan.
Please contact me on my email.
Thank you in advance, best regards Anton

Hi there,

You are absolutely right, the countrty is beautiful indeed. But what is the purpose of your visit? If it is private, obviously it is smth to do with tourism, in it?? if it is, then why not to contact one of the traveling agencies dealing with Uzbekistan? GOOOOOGLE is the panacea:)
Hope it helps.

Franckly speaking the person who is ready to write an inv. letter have to be either ya friend or z tourism company who invites u.

I would be happy to help you but I don't know who you are
and I can't guaranty anything about u

but with tourism company everything is much easier

Well, to be more precisely, I know that is a problem, that you don't know me, and people are hard to trust nowadays...
I'm railway enthusiast, and student of railway traffic, 24 1/2 years old, from Croatia.
In April I'm planning to pass Silk route by railway.Problem is, that I'm not classic westerner :D, and 150$ is pretty much money for me to give only for guarantee letter.
I searched on the net, and found couple of hotels, but more helpful would be if you guys who live there, could tell me which are the cheapest hotels or motels in Tashkent and Samarkand, which can provide me letter of invitation?
As you see, most of the time, I'm planning to be in train, so these letters are just beauorocratic formalities, that must be fulfilled...And so, instead spending those 150 $ for souvenirs or something like that, I have to spend them for that letter... :(

As I wrote message before, it is not classical tourism, I mean, it is, but I'm railway enthusiast, and any traveling agencies are not of interest to me, particularly because I will probably travel alone.

Whatever is the way of your stay in Uzb, travel agencies could carry all the formalities (papework) out for you. They will draw you the map of your destinations and if necessary will escort during the whole trip. You will save hell a lot of time and travel witout trouble, believe me this is the best way. YOU WILL DEFINATELY NEED SOMEONE LOCAL TO GUIDE OVER THE COURSE OF YOUR TRIP.

Well...That is the "problem". :)
I don't need escort, I want to travel by myself.

Is there any particular reason for that?
Because I will travel with train, and destinations which I want to visit, are in my list, I mean, I know what to see, if you meant on that...

Do u speack Russian or Uzbek? I'm not sure but basically my concerns are grounded on safety issues. Trains are known as less reliable mode of transport in terms of safety.

Well, I know little bit of Russian. I mean, I understand it pretty good, because it is similar to Croatian. Also, I know Cyrillic.
Well, safety issue is in every part of world, and so in Croatia. For 6 years I'm traveling to capital where is my college located ( I don't live there ), so sometimes I know 4-5 times a week to go there ( that is over 2000 km weekly ).
Not to go OT, whole my life I'm traveling in trains.Yes, I understand that this is far away from home, and language is a kind of barrier, but, if I start to think like that, I will never go anywhere... ;)

Yeah u r right:), if you are experienced enough then you got not much to worry;)
As fot the invitation (imho), you had better contact travel agencies first and enquire prices etc and then see alternatives (purely for the papework).
Good luck.
