When you say daily do you mean time&sales for one day? For instance stock price in the morning at 9:30 was 20 and at 10:00 was 21?

it's there...on yahoo finance

when you type company's NYSE-listed name(let's say GE:general electric) and hit enter, you will get general info page for that company. on the left, you will see historical prices for GE from 1962 to 2007. I can sort them by daily, weekly, monthly etc prices.

In this case you need daily. That's it!

I think she/he needs intraday price.

Martingale and abcd I got what I needed!
Thank you guys!
BTW its dayly price needed as I am doing my research on volatility, and I am going to treat data for several companies.

It's new concept of volatility proposed by one physicist and I am going to test it for security markets!

Thank you

If he needed intraday prices, he would say intra-day prices not daily prices.
Besides, in other thread he talked about big stock decline since 9/11, which happened on 27th of february. Most likely he is doing a reserach on some company's stock performance. for that you need daily prices, not intraday prices, Mr. abcd.:)

You keep tracking all my post, huh? ;)
Regardnig that research I did, but stopped, because I forgot all math I knew :D. All the derivative equation with several constants and etc is out of my mind unfortunetely. I was trying to build simple, very simple model on recent decline in Chinese market, but everything stopped with solving technical problems (very complicated math, and etc). But . . . I could make predictions for two assignments for two classes. One of them worked - and professor who looked at it shorted part of his portfolio. Another one we are going to see in near future. It will happen definetely!:)

Can you elaborate a lillbit more on the model please, because I used to do volatility modeling

Collect your own - like Nezabudka does ;) "Yesli gor ane idyot k Magomedu, Magomed idyot k gore" deyishganmidilar :)

The advice is an absolute pain in the b*t, but eventually you'll be proud of yourself.

PS: Then share it with the GOskomstat (c) lavie

In lilbit's case, collecting and using primary data would be a much bigger pain. Whereas getting secondary data takes only a few minutes.

Off:
"Yesli gor ane idyot k Magomedu, Magomed idyot k gore" deyishganmidilar

Bu - kopirlar uylab topgan ahmoqona maqol.

SALAR I'll clarify the model as soon as I get some results! You'll get the copy of it :)

~*NeZaBudkA*~ :)) I don't have time to sit and copy all the data from trading platforms - it's too time consuming, data from yahoo Finance is enough for me. Samimiy was right ;)

Thank you guys for your assistance!

and one more questions

Does anybody of you calculated historical volatility by yourself!? If yes, how the results you got differ from published one?
