Is it a right century for you? Or do you think that you belong to, let say, future or past? Did you ever dream of living in past, when kings and queens were rullers, with all those knights, duels, balls and etc. Or may be it is future, that takes your breath away?
P.S. Inspired by "Skazka loj, da v ney namek" by Nezabudka :)

:) Ok, seems like a nice argument for me. And how about future? Any desire to wear shiny silver suits with an antenna on the top of the head?

Lol there are always those trade-offs one can't avoid. Either comfortable suit and antenna, or uncomfortable dress and bautiful tiara with precious stones :)

But, yeah, the question is not only about the outfit and fasion, but, may be, also from the moral, technological, environmental, points of view, anything :)

Antiqa tred bo'libdi:)
Hmmmm.....menimcha hech kim "yo'q hozirgi zamon yoqmaydi, boshqa zamonda tug'ilishim kerak edi" demaydi. Ibtidoiy jamoa davrini xoxlamasdim, chunki hamma narsa tabiiyroq bo'lgani bilan, insonlarning eng asosiy o'y-fikri ozuqa topish bo'lgan - hayot mazmuni yegulik topish! Unchalik qiziqmas, lekin yaxshi tomoni hamma narsa va munosabatlar bunaqa mukammal (complicated) bo'lmagan. Milodning boshlanishi, ilk o'rta asrlar ham bo'midi hamma regionlarda urushlar avj olgan, epidemiya tarqalgan, qonun ishlamaydi! O'rta asrlar nisbatan yaxshiroq, harxolda kuchli davlatlar bo'lgan, ilm-fanga e'tibor qaratila boshlangan, ilmiy yangiliklar, lekin yana o'sha ma'nosiz urushlar, despotizm. XX asr uncha havas qiladigan emas: Jahon urushlar, atom bombasi, qaytaqurish....., xozir zamon...umuman olganda yaxshi, ba'zi muammolarni hisobga olmasa:D Kelajakni bilmiman qanaqa bo'ladi, shunchun kelajakda tug'ilib ko'rish zarar qilmasdi:D Lekin qani endi bitta time machine yaratilsayu hammasini ko'rib kelseiz:rolleyes:
P.S. Odamzod o'zi shu hech nima yoqmaydi, lekin har bir zamonda o'sha davr muhitidan inson o'ziga ma'no-mazmunli hayot qura olishi mumkin bo'lgan deb o'yliman.

Nimaga bu yerda yozgan qizlar faqat bal-mallar haqida yozishadi.
O'tgan asrlarda tugilganizda ham, o'rta osiyoda bal, qirol, unaqa galati kiyim kechaklar yo'q ediku?

Tog'ri, man ham, hamma narsa hozirgi zamonga qaraganda ancha osonlicha hal qilinar edi deb uylayman

Afsuski, hozir ham odamzod boshi urush-talash, terrorchillar faoliyatlardan chiqmayapti :(
....., xozir zamon...umuman olganda yaxshi, ba'zi muammolarni hisobga olmasa:D
Rostini aytsam, menga ham ozimizzi zamonimiz yoqadi :D

Balki, bu yerda yozgan yigitlar shunday savol berishlari uchundir. Yoki man qirol orniga podishoh, galati kiyim orniga paranji deb aytsam, savolimni manosi uzgargan bolarmidi?

I miss the times when we were on our horses in the Turkistan steps.. Nope, I am strongly sure that I don't belong this century.

Reinforcing the stereotype: Women are only (or at least mainly) concerned about clothes (ozbekchada latta-putta) :) Remember, "what they made women wear back then" was the fashion of the times :)
I personally wouldn't want to live at another time. For the most port I am happy in this life. Some people romanticize this time in history or that. But they don't consider the difficulties of living in those times. For example, I recently visited the Amish country in Lancaster, PA. Amish people live very simple lives - they farm and deal with hand crafts. It's as if they still live in the 18th century. But when I was there, there was so much smell from their farms and fields, I know I wouldn't be able to stand it even for a day. All the romantic and nostalgic feelings were gone immediately :)

See, and HOOSIER doubted that there will be anybody, who would say, that he/she does not belong to the century we are living in :)

And you are happy to note (nail it down) once again. Feel better now?
By the way, it is a stereotype itself to think that women think only about clothes. Don't you think so?

God, true, it is worth mentioning those tribes who still live like people used to live centuries ago. I wonder why progress didn't touch them so far?

No, I wasn't happy to "nail it down". In fact, I found it unfortunate that the first thing that came to Uzbekgirlie's mind was... clothes. That's why I said she's reinforcing the stereotype.

Exactly. And Uzbekgirlie's statement supports that stereotype, which is my problem with her post. In other words, if you don't like this stereotype (or any other), then don't say things which would strengthen in people's minds.

The thing is that if it is already in your mind, you will give it a count anytime you see it, and it will grow and strengthen in your mind. But at the same time, you will not notice other things/cases/events, contradicting or breaking that stereotype, or will take them as an exception :) My humble opinion though.

I am sorry, but this is unfair to say that I am reinforcing streotypes. I mean history has been cruel to women and not sure I would want to be part of it. Instead of having a serious convo I made a light comment about clothing. I mean why would I want to be born in past and be mistreated... And exactly what stereotypes am I reinforcing? Past for most women was about clothing. Lets look at history most women rebelled through fashion. I mean mini skirts, wearing pants instead of corsages was part of women's movements. Or how about when muslim women burned their burka's again rebellng though fashion. Dont undertimate the power of fashion.

Is it right century for you?
The century one live in is always right!
No one can change the time and life within this period.
And, If you were born in wrong place, in wrong time don't blame century itself. Blame yourself!

Logically, yes, the century one lives in is always right, and, definately, no one is capable of changing anything here. But the question is if one fits it morally, or does he feel someimes that he/she belongs to the future or past. This thread has nothing to do with changes.
Moreover, no one is going to blame anyone. It is just a question, not a protest or somethig else.
