Has anyone applied recently for UK Student visa? It would be greatly appreciated if there are any reports from recent applications. is it true they are taking long time to process in the Embassy? or is it if the documents are not quite correct they delay the application.

A friend wants to apply for the course. My concern is if they delay the application for more then 60 days it will affect his course that starts in July the 7th.

Is there any precise information how long do the application forms take to be processed, or is there anyone who has information about it?

As for the visa's duration, you don't have to worry. with original copy of the acceptance letter you may receive your visa in a week. Because right now they are working to fast I would say. But it may take even more. Who knows, what they are doing there in the embassy.

Even if the course starts, while your application are being considered, there is not a problem at all. They may give a visa. After all, it is not your fault that they can't work, operate and provide immediate service.

Just I Heard my cousin's friend got his visa yesterday and there are no problems but he got his visa in 5 month and his college just extended the course thats it (26 may he will be In UK). if you are got correct or proper documents and you will get visa and important things is payment of course.

а вот у меня вот такой вот вопрос. помните как раньше студенты приезжали на языковые курсы, договаривались со школой о нехождении, но получении аттестата о хорошей посещаемости и оценках? сейчас такое тоже можно сделать, или все стало сложно? если знаете хорошую аккредитированную школу, с которой можно договориться так, дайте знать - друг друга друга друга очень хочет приехать на своей шкуре убедиться что тут деньги не растут на деревьях. :d

Root, kim suvni ko'rmasdan etik yechadi deb o'ylaysiz?

Misol uchun men sizga viza ishlarida yordam bermoqchi bo'lsam bunday bo'ladi:

Sizga tog'ri keladigan kurs topaman (eng.language course/it/mngmnt/etc...)

Kursning/Accommodationning narxi qancha bo'lsa pulni siz to'laysiz. (albatta necha pullik kurs bo'lsa ham 500$ atrofida to'lasangiz FULLY PAID deyishadi kollejlar)

Keyin qolgan barcha mayda chuyda hujjatlarni o'zingiz tayyorlaysiz va vizaga apply qilasiz.

Olgan kursingizning narxi 1000 funt bo'ladimi 4000 funt bo'ladimi UK dan bo'ladigan hujjatlar sizga bor yo'g'i 500$-600$ ga tushadi.Viza olasizmi olmaysizmi meni qiziqtirmaydi. Shu.

Lekin kamdan kam topilsa kerak tekinga hujjat qilib beradigan odam...

A friend's application is taking about 2 moths and 10 days now. When i phoned the embassy they have a message played: "Due to the staff shortage we are unable to answer your phone, please visit www.britain.uz to find answer for your question."

This one is so pathetic ... huh.

обязательно покупать школу английского аккредитированную при Бритиш Каунсел, или можно купить другую, например с аккредитацией в Department of Education and Skills? я понимаю консульские бюрократы часто ограниченного кругозора и необъективные - значит лучше не рисковать и брать курсы в аккедитованной школе? можно получить визу с приглашением из школы не состоящей в списке у БК?

есть советы?

Also, are we required to have OVIR even before getting a visa, say work permit or student visa?

I received my passport with my visa yesterday, and place of issue shown on the visa is "UKBA Vulcan 1". On my previous visas I had "Croydon" written on it.
So, I was wondering what UKBA meant. Here's what I found: Border, immigration, customs and visa checks are all handled by the new UK Border Agency. It is a shadow agency of the Home Office - and because of that it will need to go through a transition period while it takes on some of the features of a full agency. It is going to be very powerful organisation, controlling almost everyone and everything coming from abroad to UK. The changes and aims are quite interesting, see here (http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/about-us/news/uk-border-agency-launch).


I was interested in ID cards that everyone was talking about, so here (http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/about-us/news/id-card-plan) it is:
The first people to get ID cards will be non-EEA foreign nationals living in the UK. They will begin carrying cards in November of this year.

The roll-out will start with people historically most likely to abuse the system - including people living here on student visas or marriage visas.

Those issued with cards will be fingerprinted, and the card will contain details of their immigration status. The card will also indicate whether they are allowed to work or access benefits, and how long their visa allows them to stay in the country.

Within three years all foreign nationals applying to enter or extend their stay in the UK will be issued a card. The plan calls for 90% of foreign nationals to have the cards by 2015.

It means I will receive mine march-april next year.

The British will get an ID card as well, but their cards will be issued starting 2009.

Anyone applying for the extension of their visa starting from November of this year will obtain ID cards straight away. Anyone who is sending their application forms since 28 Apr of this year are already requested for their biometric data to be provided.
As long as one is residing in UK - no matter if they are foreigners or nationals - they will have to have an ID card!

Only the ones who are having a visa for 3 months or more will be provided an ID card!

Bilmadim, franciyani bu borada boshqacha yol tutar. Chunki men ham weekendga Spainga borib kelganlarni bilaman usha 2006yillar. Ammo hozir bu amalda yoq bolsa kerak. Undan keyin Belgiumga 2007da surishtirganimda ham visa needed deyishgan. balkim hafta ortasida mumkin emas faqat weekend mumkinmikin?
