Shortly, I would recommend you to fly with Uzbek Airlines as the price is currently the cheapest for round-trip from USA to Tashkent -+1200 USD (895 Euro as per RF Central Bank).

You can fly through Moscow for instance, but the cheapest price for round-trip to Moscow from USA is 670 Euro plus round-trip Moscow Tashkent-Moscow - 16000 rubles (460 Euro) including awaiting at the airport, eating and etc. You have to spend total 1200 Euro only for the flight.

It might be helpful for u, I guess.

Do you have the up-to-date contact information of the Havo Yullari office in New York or anywhere in the United States? I am talking about a phone number which someone actually answers or an address that actually exists. If you have this information, can you post it here?

Uzb. Havo yullari adashmasam "paper ticket" qilib berishadi, keyin telefon qilganimda Credit Card orqali to'lovni qabul qilmas edi, pulizi FeDex yoki shunga o'xshagan pochta orqali jo'nating deyishgan edi....
Ertaroq harakatizi qilganiz yaxshi.
A tak Aeroflot ham LAX dan uchadi to'g'ri. qaysi shtatdaligingizni bilmiman.... lekin Moskvada LONG layover bo'ladi, primerno 10 soat...
Googler ni gapiga qo'shilaman, primerno 1200 atrofida bo'ladi. o'zi doim shunaqa bo'lib kelgan, agar USni o'rtaroq shtatlaridan uchadigan bo'lsangiz.
Umuman arzonroq bilet olaman desangiz uchishingizdan minimum 21 kun oldin oling biletni, keyin "week days" da uchsangiz, aeroportni "weekend fee" sini to'lashga to'g'ri kelmaydi, agar adashmasam primerno 30 dollar atrofida (each way).

I bought the ticket from NYC to TAS from UzAirw.. . What they required me to do is to pay them with cashier's check (they do not accept personal one) and send them via mail. Ultimately I got the ticket one day before departure from west coast. But it was a bit hassle for me.

When you bought the ticket, how did you contact the airline? Is the info provided by Googler correct? Also, was the ticket an electronic one? In other words, were you able to just get the ticket from the Havo yullari counter at JFK before your flight? Or did you need to have the paper ticket with you?

Havo Yullaridan bilet olishning iloji bulsa usha yerdan olgan maqul. Aeroflot orqali uchishni tavsiya qilmayman. Reysning uzunligidan tashqari (Moskvada 10 soat kutishni ham qushsa 25 soatcha), Aeroflot bagajni ham kup yuqotadi. Toshkentga oxirgi borganimda Aeroflot orqali uchgan edim, bagajimni yuqotib, 12 kun keyin topilgan edi. Kelganda qarasam bagajim dunyoning 4 burchagiga borib kelibdi. Undan tashqari qayerda bulsa ham (Toshkentda bulsa kerak) sumkani yirtib ochishgan, keyin qayta tikib quyishgan. Lekin ichidan hech narsa yuqolmagan edi. Aeroflotning problemalari haqida boshqa bir mavzuda ham yozilgan edi.

GOOGLER's info is right. But why don't you try Luftganza, British Air... or something?

Well, first I bought the ticket via orbitz - very cheap, from west coast to Tashkent. Carriers was all interenational except our HY. After I bought the tocket and they charged my credit card, in 3 days I've got phone call from company telling that HY not issuing electronic tickets. Thus I bacame mad, WTF, I bought the ticket, everything is planned, but I can do nothing with those ancient f*en system. That's why I decided to go home only by HY and first called them in NJ. She gave me directions but fotgot to mention that I have to pay with cashier's check, not personal one. So I sent the check via mail . . . .and . . . all that BS lasted 5 days.

But flight was great! HY service on board is better than I used to have here in US by other carriers.

With your coordinates flying with Uz airways is the best. Lufthansa is at least 300 more expensive. Though If you are a student they will give you $200 discount. Lithuanian Airlines are good as well but i do not have much info about them.

Talk to someone in Uz Airways. Book your flight and pay as they say. If they wont be able to send ur ticket to you on time, they will give it to you at the airport.

HY JFK-TAS-JFK will cost at least 1200 USD. Friend of mine came to west coast with round trip ticket for 1500 USD - it's cheap enough!

U HY net electronnih biletov.

HY vislali mne bileti, as soon as poluchili money order. Vsyo eto (otpravka money ordera im i bileta mne) zanyalo nedelyu. Swiss Air delali mne nervi bol'she mesyasa: ne prishlo podtverjdenie, ne poluchen fax, ne polucheni den'gi (hotya s card snyali) i t.d.

come to US, and try to do it. In EU it's much easier than in US. This multicarrier's system sucks
