Hi guys,
Did anybody left from heathrow terminal 2 recently and got stopped to check for immigration stamp dates?
I have recently changed my passport and my visa has expired. I am going home to Tashkent to get a new visa.
Some say they stamp your passport for overstaying and you are not allowed back for 3 years. Is it true?
Did you get your passport checked for visa while going home? Or was it just a check of your passport's photo page?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it doesn't matter if it is Heathrow or any other airport. If your visa is expired and you are still on the territory of that state, it already means that you have violated the rules of the stay. And yes, they check the visa, or they already have the information on you in their database after they have scanned your passport. So my guess is that you might encounter some problems there. Nevertheless, wish ya good luck.

Nobody chek your visa on your way out. So many times me and my friends went home, none of them checked it on our way home. YAna bir surushtirib korilar.

as far as i know they are planing to do it from 2009...
they said that they havnt got enough time and immigration officers to check every single person leaving the UK, they are always happy because you are leaving their country :-)
only thing they do is to check your name and photo on your passport.
they never checked my visa on the way out...
good luck anyways
