As you well know, there are pool of options which challenges your distinct place of study to pick. So i would like you guys, actually the ones in The US studying there , to help me to find the right university and right state. As i have never been to US , i've got this problem guys. Well my confusions are those
- finding a good (more or less affordable, fine, lavish, jobgettable, goodearnable) state which i should not get into grievance after going to it in the US...
-University which offers full international scholarships to international students....
-a good place to earn MBA credits in the US....
- Last thing (less important) normal ppl, neighborhood, maybe uzbeks, good sightseeings..etc

i do rilly like you concentrate on this issue more deeply as i rilly need it and appreciate your diomand information, links and all about US MBA study...
Let's discuss it herein....
Good luck you all in things you do....

How is your
-TOEFL score?
-GMAT score?
-work experience in related field?
-GPA?
Nobody can help You to find the appropriate universities unless You tell us these credentials. :)
Definitely, the level of admission to the more prestigious universities depends on your higher scores and grades.

Thank you.
For up to now i possess the following credentials:
1. TOEFL-CBT (276) or Toefl ibt 75-95 smwhr in between
2. GMAT score is expected (I am planning to take it this coming January or so) as i am planning to go to MBA programs commencing from fall, 2008.
3. 3 years of part-time jobs as i was student during those all years (mainly coordinator of projects, teacher assitance.. the like) but i plant to start workin from this coming month. But i have got great many of achievements and accomplishments, i.e; President Scholarships...etc
4.Regarding my GPA (4.0) to be humble i have got all credits in A's. Expecting to recieve Honors Specialist Diploma this or next month.

Adding up these facts, i am awaiting for your positive response as it is might be of use and need not only for me but for a number of majority students planning to earn MBA in US. Thank you guys once more.
Sincerely,

Shaki

if you want to work in US MBA is not a good option, unless u go to top 30 or 50 schools. But they are very expensive and usually do not fund MBA students. You can come to MS econ or stat if you need funding. They usually fund, but i am not sure about job opportunities. MS stat should make you more competitive.

Sincerely,

I have never been to MBA, but from what I've seen to this day the essential thing is "prior work experience". I doubt that most of part-time jobs or academic achievements give you necessary experience required for MBA (unless you worked as part-time assistant for some manager at a young and fast growing venture). In my view, MBA is often misunderstood just as a "high trophey" for making good career. But just getting MBA without real business world experience would not help much in learning (I'm not eliminating some rare unique cases though).

I know after reading this you will think "naaah, I wanna go for MBA immediately anyways" :), but try to take this as an advice.

I agree with this advise. I would say top 50 schools. If you can get admission to any of top 10 MBA programs then funding won't be a problem. But it won't be easy to get admission to those schools. MS in Statistics is worth to consider. Anyway good luck.

MS will give you almost nothing in terms of ROI. Unless you marry some american girl during the study and get Green Vard.

BTW, is it only me who find most american girls Ugly?

Very important information to all who are interested in pursuing MBA degree.

World MBA Tour Summer & Fall 2007. See the schedule for September - December 2007 here:
http://www.topmba.com/mba_fairs/

You can attend top MBA Schools seminars in majority of big cities throughout the world. Do not lose this opportunity. I'm sure this will give you more realistic grip of what MBA is and what you should focus on.

I've already applied for Tokyo session, although not much will be new for me.
