What do u mean by askin if Bush has chance or not??? Now his second term is ending. So, he is definitely will be out! The next President, i guess, will be either Hillary or McCain. Actually, it is not determined yet within their party who is going to elections. eg. Hillary and Obama are from democratic, McCain and Giuliani are from republican have equal chances to represent their party. I think, it will be easier to guess when there will be just 2 or 3 determined candidates. So, let's wait lil bit and then we will see!


P.S. actually i do NOT f****n' care who is gonna be president of the United States of Jungle! i more care about my own country where this year new president MUST be elected. lol dream, although yahshi niyat yarim davlat!

Журнал Forbes провел очередной опрос в преддверии президентских выборов в Америке 2008 года. На пост президента претендует 40 политиков, которых респонденты оценивали по степени внешней привлекательности, а также респектабельности, скучности и агрессивности.

Самым красивым, по мнению 33% опрошенных (40% из них - женщины) оказался 53-летний демократ Джон Эдвардс, представляющий в Сенате Северную Каролину. В истории Америки еще не было человека, который стал президентом после поста мэра, но у Джулиани есть все шансы изменить традицию. В течение двух сроков он успешно справлялся с управлением мегаполисом. Бывшего вице-президента США Альберта Гора американцы признали самым скучным. Он был главным соперником Буша на выборах в президенты в 2000 г., но проиграл, после чего на несколько лет ушел в тень. Сейчас Гор снова ведет активную политическую жизнь, стал одним из создателей либерального телеканала Current и советником компании Google. В последнее время его деятельность направлена на борьбу с глобальным потеплением, но это не добавит ему шансов на выборах, потому что американцев больше волнуют проблемы экономики и войны в Ираке. Да и новый статус самого скучного кандидата в президенты также не способствует успеху.

Bloomberg's not going to run this time. He's too smart to understand that Republicans are doomed this time (with Bush's approval rate somewhere in toilet) and therefore, he won't spend his credit to try to catch up with Dem leaders. On contrary, when Dems fail to keep up with their promises and people are dissappointed in them, he'll run for president and will win it. Next time. 2012.

No matter how you spin it, or at what angle you try to look at it (even as a piss poor attempt at humor) - fact is, it doesn't make a slightest bit of sense. Also keep in mind that '08 elections will probably have a very low turnout.

People's trust in both executive and legislative branches is at an all-time low. I read that even Nixon's approval rating was higher during the Watergate scandal (link (http://thinkprogress.org/2005/08/22/bush-nixon/)).

Honestly, I don't like ANY of the candidates, they are all the same. They will do everything to appeal to their base, talk about bullsh*t issues, do photo ops, give out identical interviews - all in order to garner more money to repeat the same cycle, until the election day. Watching American elections is like watching a bad act at a theater.

I think Democrats with go with Hillary as President, and Obama as the VP. IMO, that's the only viable solution for them.
