Inspired by Saqbonlik qiz and Studisous, let's share favorite arts (paintings) here. It might be a masterpiece of a well-known artist, or some newly art school graduate.

The only restriction on what to post - let it be paintings only. Post the image, name of the work and author.

Thank you!

My favorite is Shishkin. I remember as a child, I used to often turn over pages of his book that my dad kept in a boookshelf with resources on numoerous other artists. But Shihskin was the best for me.

I looove the Shohi Zinda in winter. Dont remember where I saw it before, but it was original, i.e. a real painting. It was in Tashkent and it was terrific.

Ro'zi Choriev is another famouz Uzbek artist. I googled, but could not find his works online. :(

Out of those paintings Shohi Zinda is the best.
Rozi Choriev is a very nice painter, unfortunatly I was not able to find his paintings on the internet also. :( One of his paintings "Uzbekskaya Madonna"
if i am not mistaken, very beautiful!

I've been to a nice italian place today and saw this exact painting on the wall and smiled remembering where I first saw it (here). There were other very similar paintings of dancing couples. I think the same artist might have had a series of these type/genre paintings.

Try contacting the Association of Artists of Uzb. Most probably, he is a member of it. The Asscn's contacts might be available in online uzbek yellow pages.
