I give you bumper nuts (http://www.bumpernuts.com/). I honestly don't even know what to make of it, it's both dumb, and utterly gay.

There are many other things I've witnessed people do to their cars. I'm sure many of you here remember those Coocaracha horns, huge stickers, "I love you" lamps, etc.

Don't get me wrong, they were considered "cool" then, but now when you reflect on it, you realize how ridiculous it was.

You can still see all sorts of stupid things in today's streets. Neons, spoilers bigger than the car itself, fake xenon lights, loud/whistling exhaust pipes, etc. Tashkent, for example, with its thousands of Nexias is a heaven for the so called "tuners".

TOPIC: What were some of the funniest, ridiculous things you've seen on cars? Maybe you did something to your car which you now think was stupid, and want to share it with us? What other currently "cool" things do you think should go away?

My state's spirit is DUCKS. There are some cars full of ducks in the front and back of the car. It looks childish though.

Some people still keep their "Vote for John Kerry" stickers in the back of their cars. I don't understand them. :rolleyes:

People have a $800 subwoofer in the trunk with license plate not screwed down tightly. It makes a ridiculous sound. Also, people with $500 cars that has more than $500 decoration or subwoofer in the car. Utttterly stupid!!!

These people either have too much free time on hand and a wealth of a kingdom to spare, but I think this is what happens when you combine hot weather and complete ban on socializing with the opposite sex.

I don't think it has anything to do with Saudi system, or weather. I've seen similar or worse things in America. For example, and old Chevy Caprice + huge spinners + $20,000 stereo system.

Back to subject:
I think the spinners should go away. My mind absolutely refuses to even come up with a reason for their existence. BTW, I've never seen a guy with spinners who isn't a complete toolbag.

Over here, we have people who pay 60k or more for a licence plate, but then refuse to change their car from camry to something else. Not that i am against camry's..

I agree on spinners. anybody who think they're cool should be shot with no warning.

В Ташкенте видел Тико передаланную в аля-джип: с запасным колесом на задней двери багажника, с лестницей на крышу, 4.мя большими фонарями неоновыми на крыше, с широкими колёсами, которые не помещаются под крыло и хромированными буквами "Jeep" по бокам. Если бы этот "джип" только проехался по внедорожью, то на первой кочке всё вылетоло бы вместе с мозгами водителя.
Ещё видел на Нексии никелерованные буквы Nexus вместо Nexia

Вот посмотрите какие тюнинги сейчс в Ташкенте- от бабайских аля-BMV до настоящих AMG, Brabus, Alpine, Arden Range и отчего я конкретно офигел так это от настоящего Mercedes McLaren. И у всех частные номера и они растаможенны. А говорят у нас народ бедно живёт.

...these cars so cool and serious to the extent that when there's no gas at the pump, you can't even push them, see how cool they r! they r also cool in 20 years when horses will be in more demand than these cars with internal combustion engine. I bet we all will have one in near future, since their price will drop...
