Weird... I left home almost 13 years ago now and everytime I go back I fall in love with Uzbekistan all over again. Granted I am from Samarkand.... As far as food- how about osh, manti, somsa, shashlik and all the salads. Plus they also have western restaurants. There are tons of options. So I don't know may be you thought you went to Tashkent and ended up somewhere else. :rolleyes:

Imagine:

Tashkent...summer 2007. Crazy in lvoe walkin on the street with her strange british outfit. Looks around...everybody is dressed up in a different way than she is. She thought "hmmm, weird". As there was nothing to do, she wanted to entertain herself and decided to go to Aquapark. As her cell phone's GPS did not work in tashkent, she had to ask people on the street. Again..weird. Cuz nobody speaks her British English!!! So she ended up not being able to find Aquapark, so she decided to go and eat somewhere. she went to kafe and asked for "sushi".....Whatta hell? they dont serve sushi? She got upset and she left the kafe wihtout eating!

That's why she didnt like her trip to Tashkent.:)

Tokugawa, I'm not a doctor but as far as I know there is no link between intestinal worms and life expectancy... And, by the way, Japanese dont have the highest average life expectancy nowadays... I guess Norwegians are the first ones.

For instance, many Afghans live with hepatitis but it doesnt affect their life at all... Therefore, u'd better ask Japanese what they do with their worms...:D
