Yes, and 50% half-tajik, which in total means Uzbekistan 75% iranian. Are you happy?
P.S. One example of inaccuracy of this stuped rasist-biased map: look at Urgenj part, how many tajiks have you met from Urgenj?

Major Ethnic Groups in Central Asia
The Andronovo Culture shows evidence of a very early history (late Bronze Age) of the Indo-Iranian speaking peoples in Central Asia.
Turkic people came to these areas much later, during the middle age.
Ethnically, Central Asia occupies a kind of bridge between the Turkic and Persian worlds. While various ethnic groups historically occupied different economic niches, they were all nativeto the land. Bi-lingualism was seen as normal for many centuries, not only among the intellectual elite but the common people as well. Command of three or four languages was not exceptional. Society and culture were formed on a multi-lingual basis. This process was facilitated by the fact that no nation-states, as understood in Western terms, took shape in Central Asia for many centuries. Local khanates and emirates were not formed from any one ethnic community. No ethnic criteria were applied in forming a ruling elite.
For a variety of reasons the designers of the Soviet "national delimitation" in Central Asia discriminated against the Tajiks, having deprived the newly formed republic of Tajikistan of the two most important centers of Tajik urban culture, Bukhara and Samarkand , as well as regions of Fergana, Surhandarya and Khwrazm which were awarded to Uzbekistan. The majority of population in Uzbekistan are Tajiks. In the words of William Beeman, professor of anthropology at Brown University: "The Tajik situation in some ways resembles that of post-colonial Africa. Tajiks have been given an impossible piece of territory with disparate population and have been forced to make a nation out of it."
The majority of Tajiks live outside border of what is known as Tajikistan today. The largest number of Tajiks are living in Uzbekistan, where the majority of Tajiks are forced to be registered as Uzbeks (the Tajiks on the official Uzbeki data, make about 4% of the population of this republic), but the real number of Tajiks living in Uzbekistan believed to be over 50 percent (11-14 millions) of the population.

The "professor" you are so excited to find, must first of all educate himself on Central Asian studies before jumping on silly conclusions about the ethnic compisition of the region based on superficial signs. However, I would not be surprised if he has done his "research" in order to inspire the likes of you to spread instability and inter-ethnic conflict in the region.

The professor doesn't need to lie. whether he knows or not, this is a fact that Tajiks are majority in Uzbekistan. You guys have forced them to keep quiet and have forced them to call themselves "oooozbik". The professor is not the only one saying that. Simply read the history. Bukhara and Samarqand have always been the center of Tajik civilization. In fact my parents came from Samarqand and Bukhara. I don't look uzbek and our parents have always spoke Persian.

I am not saying Tajiks don't live in Uzbekistan, what I am saying is they don't constitute more than 5% of the total population.
I will give a little math quiz, please take your time and do it:
What is the population of Uzbekistan? Sceptics say 26, optimists say 28, so let us stick to sceptics. 26.
The total population of Bukhara city can't be more than 300 thousand, the same can be said about Samarkand city. If we assume that another one million Tajiks dispersely reside around the country, the total number of Tajiks we have would be around 1 mln 600 thousand (if we disregard other nationalities living in Bukhara and Samarkand).
Let us say this number might still be a little biased and add another four hundred thousand just to please you. The total we got is 2 million. Now, what persentage share does 2 mln have in total 26 mln?

No I havent. But I know that people have been forced to call themselves Uzbek, not Tajik. They are not allowed to study in their own language which is Farsi/Tajiki. They are not allowed to have their own newspaper. Their rights have been taken by authorities.
Tajiks being the majority is not something new. Everyone knows that.
It is time for Uzbeks to respect Tajiks and their history, language etc. No one has the right to force Tajiks smiling like an Uzbek or change his nose like a chinese in order to look like an Uzbek.
Otherwise, things will get worse!

Uzbeks and Tajiks have always had mutual respect with the exception of some rasists like you. More than half of tajik people (just like Uzbek and Turkmens) have mongoloid features and this is not Uzbek people's fault. If you think mongoloid race is somehow inferior to any other race, then you must be executed before becoming another hitler.

When we talk about Samarqand, it is not only the city. We talk about the whole province of Samarqand and its population is estimated to be around 2 322 000. Read the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samarqand_Province
Same applies to Bukhara.
There are lots of other cities in which the number of Tajiks are much higher than claimed by uzbek government. If you read the first two posts of mine, you will find the answer for all of your questions.

He does not have any claim. I dont think anyone is mistreated in Uzbekistan? I have certainly never heard of an incident where one is forced to change his/her nationality to Uzbek. I have several friends from Samarkand and Bukhara who are Tajik by Nationality but citizens of Uzbekistan - they are equally looked at and treated in an ordinarily way.
He does not have any claim. I think he is just one sick guy who is spending his life in complete and utter boredom and trying to bring some crap points across and get some attention.

You might be a tajik, but the one who has lost his language and has no idea of his past history. You need to read about your history and follow the path that your parents did. You are a "Uzbekized" Tajik who can't speak his mother tangue "Farsi". But I don't blame you because it is Uzbek government who have brainwashed you and have changed your mentality. If you claim to be Tajik, tell me do you have schools in there? Do you have Tv channels in your own language? Do you read and write Farsi/Tajiki in school? Are you allowed to learn them? NO!
I haven't been there, but doesn't mean I don't know. I have read reports in which people have complained. How come you haven't read such news? It is because no one let you read such things. The let you read only what they want you to read.

"In my village where only Tajiks live, in a library near my place now there
is not a single book in Tajik. The worst thing is that masterpieces of
world literature, works by Avicenna, Saadi, Shakespeare, Byron, Pushkin,
`Robinson Crusoe' by Daniel Defoe and many others are being destroyed", an
IHROU representative in Samarkand, Jamol Mirsaidov, said.
Also departments and groups with Tajik as a teaching language have been
sharply reduced in Samarkand educational establishments; there is only one
Tajik-language Philology Department now left at Samarkand University.
Tajiks of Uzbekistan are its native population. At the beginning of the last
century they fell within the jurisdiction of Uzbekistan as a result of the
formation of the national Soviet republics. Scholar Rasim Masov writes that
as a result of a "rough division" of Central Asia, Tajiks turned into a
national minority on territory legitimately belonging to them. Tajiks claim
the Uzbek towns of Samarkand and Bukhara and believe that historically
these belonged to Tajikistan. In many respects this is confirmed by the
fact that now mainly Tajiks live in these towns, where one can hear spoken
only Tajik, not Uzbek.......
Is this also a lie? Everything is wrong? Only you Uzbeks are right?

You failed the first quiz. Now, this is your second chance:
The total population of whole Samarkand region is around 2.5 million. Let us say they are all Tajik. Bukhara region has around 2 million population. Let us say they are all honored to be of Tajik nationality. Total we have is 4.5 mln. Let us add another 500 thousand to cover other "oppressed Tajiks" around Uzbekistan, 5 million. Is this number 50% of 26 mln? No.
Half of 26 is 13 mln. How many million Tajiks do you need to reach 13 target? And where are you getting them from?
Please, stop posting reports about the hardships Tajik people are facing in Uzbekistan. Uzbeks and other people are also not living a very enviable life in Uzbekistan. Your argument was Tajik people makes up 50% of total population of Uzbekistan, stick to what you said and don't try to change the topic.
