I haven't got all that much experience, but in my opinion, a new car is a new car.
In the long run, a used luxury car will mean much higher maintenance costs, expensive spare parts, higher insurance, etc. rather than a new budget car.

If I were you, I'd go for a new car. Besides, it's a much better feeling knowing that you're the first owner, therefore less potential for unexpected surprises.

Yesterday I was driving on the highway I saw the new TOYOTA FJ Cruiser. It was so fast I couldn't keep up with her. I was driving at 45 celsius with the air conditioning. I had to accelerate to 180 km/h to keep up with her. The air conditioning automatically disconnected to get me more power!!! I know what I did was crazy but it was worth it.

My co-worker was not particularly happy with his G35. He's been having a lot of issues with electronics and he ended up trading it with a Honda Accord V6. But I love the looks of the car and the sound of the engine...it looks and sounds angry!

One thing to look in sports cars are the 0-60 and the torque,not the horsepower,while Mustang,BMW and Infinities have high horse powers, they are not much better than some of Toyotas.

And MegaZ your point is right. And that's one of the reasons why people shouldn't buy the first model of any car. They will have problems to be fixed in other generations. Take my car as an example. The first model was 2002 which is the same as mine. A lot of people complained a lot about the car's engine. Acually one of my friends told that his neighbor changed the engine twice:shock:. And then he sold his car. Thank God I was lucky. My car isn't having serious problems yet.

Toyota has been making cars since 1867,I believe that is more than 100 years:)
Generally,Toyotas are very reliable.If you look at consumer reports most toyotas are above average in all aspects.Lexus is usually top of the line,so you would expect to have fewer problems with these cars.
But you are right,it's a personal preference,some people go with german automobiles,some people go with japanese.Both make good cars,Toyota is just more reliable and cheaper.

the founder of Toyota was born in 1867:lol:, first Toyota car was built in 1930s check out this link. (http://www.toyota.co.jp/en/history/1867.html) While the first Lexus was introduced in 1989. So we can say that Toyota's experience in Luxury cars is not more than 20 years.
While Mercedes-Benz is one of the first companies, if not the first ever, to produce cars. What I think is that although they are learning so fast there is a long way for Lexus to keep up with the Germans.

Why did I choose this color? Coz of the interior.Myself I like black cars, but for my region it is not the best color coz the car gets hot in a few minutes. So i was looking for a white one with beige, brick or cherry interior. But there wasn't any, there were blacks on black, white on black interior, but none of them was brick or cherry red. I'll post some pixs of interior maybe later when I get to take some. And then maybe you will understand why I choosed this color :). Wood dash ( custom madeactualy), and brick color seats really matches the exterior color as well.That's all.

5,17 м длинны просторный салон создают удобные условия для любой поездки. F700 обладает активной "PRE-SCAN " подвеской, которая скакнирует лазерами покрытие перед машиной распознаёт и подстраивается под покрытие дороги, что в значительной степени улучшает комфорт при езде (ощущение что летишь на ковре).

DIESOTTO-вот сердце этого автомобиля. 4 цилиндра, 1,8 л. В нём сошлось всё лучшее от бензинового двигателя и от дизеля. Выделение CO2 состовляет 127 г на 1 км при расходе 5,3 л на сотню (!)

Так же введена система упраления SERVO-HMI - информационный дисплей легко читается, так же системы управления построены таким образом чтоб не требовалось объяснений. Для водителя есть иконка виртуального ассисетнта на панели (теперь есть с кем поговорить :) А вот руль действительно квадратный :-)

В салоне много места для пассажиров. Силуэт и длинная база автомобиля говорят об этом. Сиденья пассажиров можно установить реверсно тем самым нарушая подход что все пассажиры сидят лицом к движению.

F700 даёт понять основные идеи и технологии будущего компании Mercedes-Benz. Компания в очередной раз показала прекрасную машину.

depends on what kind of road you are going to drive....

in general Niva Chevrolet is a good car, but I can tell u about only one problem - existance of some extra noise behind the motor....so u'll not feel yourselves comfortable enough if you compare it with NEXIA

1994 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. This one was my dad's. I only drove it for a couple of miles. It was so hard to control because it was too big for me.

1995 Toyota Cressida. This one I drove it at my license test. One of the easiest cars to drive ever. It is said that Toyota stopped producing this car because once they sell it it doesn't coma back for maintenance!!!

BTW I saw Infinity FX35 (we have official distributor), I think the new one had some "face lift". Anyway, never saw the FX from the inside before (except photos) so I had a look in the shop and I loved it.

The FX is very popular in town and we have a lot of them.

But ironically we have only one Infinity G35 in town. It was sold pretty quickly. Anyway I loved the G35. When I sat down, and started the engine and when everything lit up, it looked like a little spaceship. :)

Today I saw the new Mazda CX-9. It was introduced this year in Saudi as a 2008 model. It has a V6 3.5 liters engine that is enough to generate 263 hp. It is capable of carrying 7 passengers on 18" or 20" wheels for the Grand Touring class. Here are some pictures:

yea right engine is noisy though not so much i put new air filter( not its stock one) and it became louder which was weird to me Now i'm getting used to it . I like only civic Si R type


you can refer to Top Gear show s10 e06 where Jeremy compares the new and old type R. He prefers the old one because it is faster and handles better. He says that the new one is bigger, heavier and has only one more horsepower. Moreover, the have replaced the independent rear suspension in the old model with a torsion bar for the new one because it costs less. He raced them for a lap and the older one was faster.

Today I saw the new Mazda CX-9. It was introduced this year in Saudi as a 2008 model. It has a V6 3.5 liters engine that is enough to generate 263 hp. It is capable of carrying 7 passengers on 18" or 20" wheels for the Grand Touring class. Here are some pictures:

Notice that headlights are awfully similar to those on Lexus GS.

I think that Mazdas are way behind Honda and Toyota in terms of quality and reliability. Honda Pilot is in the same price range, and even cheaper - that's a much better option that this Mazda SUV, IMO.

You can find similarities in all cars, especially Korean cars. I agree with you about quality and reliability because we had an awful experience with a 1993 Mazda MPV. I also agree that the Honda is better, but it's not as good looking as this one.
