The person who is being dragged in the picture is not terrorist or criminal, neither he committed any felony. He is a Pakistani lawyer, who believes in Constitution, and who is against the Pervez Musharraf who suspended it.

Now, question is to Masanori, Darvesh, and others: Whose side you would be? Do you think Pervez Musharraf had rights to dismiss Constitution?

If the constitution allows him to proclaim the emergency, then he is right and vice versa.

If constitution allows him to shoot at innocent people, that does not mean it is right. Right and wrong are determined by what effect one's actions have on other peoples lives. What is Musharraf doing is usurping power with blunt disregard to rights and liberties of other people. And what he is doing is wrong.

I have another question. Can a Supreme Court judge get involved in politics? Can he appeal to the public with political statements like Chaudhry did? Shouldn't they stay neutral?

Again if any single constitutional norm allows him to usurp power, then he is constitutionally right! Everything depends on what constitution of Pakistan says.

To be honest, I am not very interested in the latest political events taking place in pakistan. So, I don't know what Chaundry has done. But if he said anything against Musharraf, then it makes supreme courte's decision doubtful.

UzLand, could you give more information about the judge's political statement?

Masanori, if you are not interested in the Pakistani politics, you don't have to visit this thread because it is specifically about this topic. And you shouldn't speculate about what the judge did without familiarizing yourself with the situation. And I don't have to give you information about this. It is an open-source information. Go to google news...after all you are in one of the most technologically developed countries of the world...

Calm down! What makes u so angry?

I am not interested in the the pakistani politics, but the legal case seems to be interesting. Simply, it is the lawyer's curiosity.

cheers.

I am very clam. I am just surprised to see what a lazy lawyer you are...lawyers are usually good with details, you don't seem to be such...

Topic is very interested, i am a Pakistani and i think i should explain here better.
President Musharaf is 100% right, and we need an emergency to secure our all the economy.
Why lawyers inter fair in government?
Lawyers should only work in courts, thats why in this picture some peoples are beating to a lawyer, not only one i think more than 50,000 lawyers everyday beat with our local police, because they are wrong and they come every day on the roads for strike.
