Oh, don't be disappointed. When somebody asks you to get something that is situated highly, you should be proud that you can reach it without standing on a chair or something else! Or in basketball - your height is an advantage! And after all, the tall guys look sexy even if their faces aren't so smart!

I always thought it just made it harder to fit into places. I swear everything is made for people 5'8. :shock: I am not comfortable anywhere and I am not even that tall!!!! :shock: How does a tall person go anywhere, drive a car, sit at a stadium? Also, I can't imagine being tall makes me look any better. :lol: All it does it make me stand out more which is never a good thing when you look like me. :uups:

We are not talking about models here. Modeling and fasion are just industries, and models are there to represent this industry. Recently a well known designer basically said that the ultra-thin and tall runway models are not there to be looked at. They are there to show case the clothing hanging from their bodies. They are, essentially, walking clothes racks/hangers. It also takes less material to dress a size 0 than it does to dress a size 6-8. :D so go figure... not all models are/were tall. Some models are short, and its all about proportions. right proportions matter, the height -- not always.

You cannot really tell that Madonna is petite, can you?

I said on average. And as far as I remember, US had the highest growth rate in height for ages. I will give a link to that study if I can find it.

However, you may be right about the Dutch. Maybe last year or so, the Dutch became tallest nation in the world. But at that time when that study was done US was number one. I think it still is. But these tiny mexican and other immigrants I think made the national average go down.:lol:
