Hi Folks,
I had interview today, very long one, the longest i ever had so far, everything was GOOD but at the end, the guy asked me
- Ohh you wear your watch on your Right Hand? Why is that?
- Ummm, it's just family tradition , we all wear it on right hand....
- Ohh I see, Russian Family? a.k.a "mafia" ;)
- Yeah :) kind of ...
Now: ON which Wrist Should a man wear a WATCH? Right or Left?
Honestly , i dont know why i wear on the right, maybe just because i start wearing it on my right hand....
Do you wear a Watch? If you do ? Do you Wear it on Right or Left Hand?
Why is that? What do you thinkg guys?

Cool
I did not know that Putin wears on right too
P.S Putin toje ne podarok :)
Putin wears a 60,000-dollar watch in comparison with George W.Bush's Timex for $50
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi wears the most expensive watch - Constantin Vacheron for $540,000

simple rationale behind this is that right handed people wear watches on left hand because they don't usually use their left hands so the watch is not going to bother. There is no written rule that says people have to wear watches on their left hands.

I think people do that just because they want to be some how special - not to follow the tradition of wearing watch on the side that it has to be worn.
Once more, there is no such thing like "I don't know why", people are either not so courageous to state the reason why they do so or they just don't want to admit the true reason.

I wear it on the left wrist.
I don't think there is a particular reason for choosing one side or another. I know plenty of right-handed people (three in my immediate circle) who wear watches on their right wrist, my father-in-law being one of them - which I think makes the whole "easier to write" argument non-applicable to all.
I guess, it's just a matter of preference.

bu haqida bundan bir necha yil o'ylanib qolgan edim.
men research ham qildim :-D
gapni qisqasi, men chap qo'lda taqaman chunki mening o'ng qo'lim more active.
agar soatni o'ng qo'limda taqqanimada soat har nimaga urilaverib, turtilaverib qo'limdan tushib ketar edi.
soatni o'ng qo'limga taqib, qo'limga qalam olib yozib ko'rdim, oson emas, qandaydir discomfort ...
akam soatini o'ng qo'liga taqadi. nega deb so'rasam bilayman dedi, lekin akamni "chapaqay" ligi (left handed) esimga tushib qoldi. demak soatni qaysi qo'lda taqish bu odamni chap qo'lda yoki o'ng qo'lda aktivligiga bog'liq.
lekin, bir necha "o'ng qo'l" tanishlarim soatni ham o'ng qo'lda taqishar ekan.
nega deb so'rasam - mashina haydaganda o'ng qo'l chap qo'lga qaraganda band emas, qo'ling gear steak dan bo'sh bo'lgan paytda qo'lingni bemalol ko'tarib soat necha ekanligini ko'ra olasan deb javob berishdi ...
ko'pchilk yoshligida birinchi soatini qaysi qo'lida taqqan bulsa hayot davomida o'sh qo'lida taqsa kerak...
PS: soatimni taqmaganimga bir necha oy bo'ldi. hozirgi kunda soat meni mobilniy telefonlarimda, ipodda, laptopda va ko'cha chiqsang har ikki qadamda soat...

Bir savol, soatni atayin o'ng qo'l yoki chap qo'l uchun ishlab chiqariladimi yoki uni farqi yo'qmi? Soat taqadiganla bilar...

I usually wear it on my left. Sometimes on my right. Depends.
But the "correct" way to wear it, is on your left wrist. At least that is what I heard.

Relatively on topic:
In the US, where watch fixers can be found? In malls?
I have 2 watches with expired battaries that I cant replace on my own (cant open the lid). Where do I find the proper person to do that for me, a?
I have a clue about button fastening, wedding rings...
But I heard that battery watches supposed to wear on the right wrist, because it causes heart failare(but it's only about battery watches)...
I think the same reason as wedding rings and button fastening would be the clue, but wrist watches became popular only in 20th century(before pocket watch were popular)...

if you observe in US and Europe people wear their wedding rings on their left hand. They say that in such a way it is closer to the heart. (connected with heart). In Uzbekistan as far I remember wedding ring is on the finger of the right hand. so no clue, but tradition and culture :D

Check out the nearest shopping-mall. They usually have small store where they do that kind of things. they are usually located very close to Radio-Shack type of stores. They'll change your battery real fast and service is not expensive...

I am "Why" person...and about 6 years ago i asked these question to myself...I came upon the following...Everything I mentioned above(wedding rings, button fastening(have u noticed difference between male and female fastening), and also why bridegroom gives his left hand to his bride)) goes to the history...the history of the time when all the males had to have swords,so his right hand supposed to be free to protect his lover...that's reason of all above mentioned...
You right about US people, because they follow the way of Greeks and Egyptians...But most of the people do this like roman Catholics...
That's the clue...

Wearing watch on your right hand gives you a sense of enormous well-being . And then you are happy for the rest of the day.

Chap qulga taqsa yozish oson (agar ung quli bilan yozsa albatta). Ung qulga taqsa namoz uqishda qulay :)

Chap qolida taqilishi kerak bolsa kerak chunki classik soatlarni burash mehanizmi soatni ong tarafida joylashkanini etiborga olgan holda u burash mehanizmini ong qolda buralsa bu degani soat chap qolga taqiladi degan fikrdaman.
