Good morning,
I have just finished upgrading the forum and adding more features. Below you will find the summary.
1) Forum has been upgraded to the latest software version. Certain new features such as "Multi-Quote" have been added. When you need to quote multiple posts, just click the multi-quote icon and then hit reply - every post you highlighted will be provided as a separate quote.
2) New feature: automatic change of media content. When you copy-paste a media URL such as youtube or google video, the content will be automatically converted to a direct stream. Example (http://forum.arbuz.com/showpost.php?p=870402&postcount=9).
3) Upgraded: warning system has been upgraded to the latest version. There should be less issues with alerts, warnings and bans now. Users will no longer see alerts and warnings when they are expired (only moderators can see the entire history).
4) New feature: forum statistics. Main forum page now has "Top 5 Stats" for the last 3 days. It shows hottest threads, most viewed threads, newest members, top posters and latest posts.
5) New feature: paypal donations system. Now we can use this tool to collect funds from forum users for different things such as helping people, buying gifts for award winners, etc. We can set a target dollar amount and the system will automatically track the donations. You can see the list of current donations through the top menu -> Quick Links -> Donations.
6) New feature: google search. This feature is available via top menu -> Search -> Google Search. The search function within the forum is hard to use and sometimes yields incorrect results. Using google search might be a lot more efficient. Plus, it will only look for content within the forum.
7) New feature: new posts and reputation comments. Now the top right corner of the forum displays new posts since your last visit and any new reputation comments added by other forum users.
8) New feature: PM search. Now you can search your private messages. This is available via User CP -> Private Messages -> Search.
9) Bugfix: attachments in PMs. For some reason attachments stopped working in PMs after the last upgrade. This is now fixed. Because of the storage issues, uploading attachments is limited to Elite Users only, while regular users can only download PM attachments.
10) Upgrade: thanks feature. It works much better now and does not cause duplicate "thanks" like before.
11) New feature: refer friends URL - User CP -> Top of the page. Now you can provide the referrer URL and the system will track how many people you referred to the forum.
12) New feature: awards system. You can access this via top menu -> Quick Links -> Award. Now we can truly award our participants when they win a contest. Here is an example (http://forum.arbuz.com/showpost.php?p=659766&postcount=1). Take a look at the left side and you will see the award. I will create more awards later.
13) Bugfix: "View Your Warnings" under top menu -> Quick Links did not function correctly. Now users should be able to see their warnings without any permission errors.
14) Change: when you view a thread the left side of the message (where all user info is displayed) was too cluttered. I removed the "Location" since people were putting all kinds of crap there, which sometimes messes up the formatting. Also, I removed the word "Country" and just left the flag. It no longer says "Thanked in x number of posts x times" - too long. Now it's short and simple "Thanks: xxx" and "Thanked: xxx/xxx".
15) For moderators only: there is a new button right next to user info that looks like yellow/red cards. This is forum's default warning system. Please do not use this feature as it is incomplete compared to what we have.
16) For moderators only: links for adding notes and giving warnings have been converted to buttons in every post. These features should work a little better now.
