Sorry but it might be difficult to get those kind of jobs in London.Because the competition is fierce. If you are overseas student with no British Qualification or experience then you'd better do something else.

I think they'll request from u work visa + excellent english. I hope u have both.

I used to work in Germany in the office (the company Draeger (http://www.draeger.com/ST/internet/DE/de/index.jsp)) & found that job myself (www.meinestadt.de) and here as well the same. I mean I don't prefer agencies. Sorry mate.
Good luck!

Bulardan eng yaxshisi Kelly Services. Lekin agentstvoga to'g'ridan to'g'ri borib murojaat qilish kerak. Internetdan register bo'lib cv yuborish bilan bo'lmaydi.

Guys, I'got a little experience in jobseeking, and find out that, there are some oportunities for people who has rights to work 48 hours/per week and has more than 1 year visa to stay in UK.

It is a generally cashier position in banks which is a under demand and easier to get.

so:

Barclays Career jobs: you can apply by +448456026234
for Barclays Cashier position you will be asked to have an interview for about 20 min by phone. There will be 2 types of questions: 1.Basic mathmatics(+,-,*,/,%); 2.Customer service Questions(e.g. What you will do if you will be given a chance to do something for customer service beyond your resposibilities?)

Natwest Career jobs: you can apply by www.natwest.com/joinretail

Tips for interviews:

Lucky you. Don't be nervous at all. If you have banking experience, they will be asking about your passed experience.
Especially what you listed in your CV.
Your day to day activities on the job, Your achievements on the job, Your relationship with fellow workers, Your worst or best challenges on the job, The mistakes you made, how they were resolved, what you learnt from the mistakes etc.

If you don't have banking experience, they may be asking
why you think you can work in the bank,
what experience do you think you can apply to be able to work successfully,
why you are changing your career,
what challenges are you expecting to see
Are there any fears you are having, how would you want them solved.
etc

most importantly, make sure you are looking sharp and confident so you don't give an impression of someone who is not sure of himself

good luck!!!

Another tips from someone who had telephone interview:

"I have had many telephone interviews followed by face to face. Are you going for their call centre by any chance? If so, they will want to test your listening skills and whether or not you can spot a buying signal for more product, how you would sell a service, how to deal with a complaint and how to deal with a livid customer. What you are looking for in a job, where you see yourself being in 5 years time. Wht your hobbies are. If you have got through the phone interview you are almost there. Thery probably just want to see if they like you. May give you a psychometric test too".

IF you are a full-time student at a college or a university then, by law, you are permitted to work upto 20 hours during the term time and full-time during vacations.

As long as it says your visa is a residence permit as a student then there's nothing wrong with that at all.
