Could someone please explain the double standard in use at the forum?

As soon as you utter a word in Russian or English (any other lang than Turkish) in Turkistan Forumu, you will get at least 6 warnings at once (It's happened with me). But Turkish convo's could be seen almost in all sections. Like the latest one which is lost between Uzbek and Turkish, but it is not in Turkistan Forumu:

Even a Moderator called Demir Kagan writes in Turkish in General Forum. To make it more interesting, the thread title is alien as well:

Firstly, not English, only Russian. Because most of Turkistan Forumu users don't understand Russian. It's better to write in O'zbek language than writing in Russian, if you really want to be understanded. If you writing in Russian just to provoke Turkish people ( why all of these people have to see posts that they don't understand ? ), it's natural to get warned.

Bilge dude, go back to the history of Turkistan Forumu or ask Demir Kagan and Emir Khan about the way they obliged me with 6 warnings at once. As you might know I prefer to write in English mainly. Sometimes in Russian too, of course.

But the question is not about your Turkistan Forumu now. Why you Turks keep posting Turkish messages in different threads without being warned?

Bilge_Kagan, please.

To tell the truth, i don't know what happened between you and Demir Kagan, cause this year i couldn't pay much attention to forum because of my own problems. But i don't think these warning wasn't fair because this "Sometimes in Russian too, of course" is not allowed in Turkistan Forumu, rule is rule. That rule doesn't mean "We're against Russian cause we hate Russian", it's just to make Turkistan Forumu achieve its foundation cause ( to put up a bridge between Turkish and Turkic users and to save Tillar Sahifasi from Turkish hegemony ). So, if you use Russian, nobody can cross the bridge, that's all.

I'm not responsible for other sections but i have to say, i'm not okay with Turkish language ban. Most of forum users ( including you, as i see ), can understand Turkish. So, seeing it in some posts is not that bad. Otherwise, Turkistan Forumu is only a prison to Turkish speaking members. I don't want "Forum.uz" to become "Forum.tr" by seeing Turkish users' Turkish posts everywhere but i don't think it would hurt anyone to see it sometimes.

Actually the reason I interfered in Turkistan Forumu gossips was Emirkhaan's pejorative racist motto against Russians. It seems he's changed his nick and the motto altogether after that which is a good sign and I thank him for that.

But believe me, many people would disagree with your biased point of view about allowing Turkish appear everywhere and banning non-Turkish messages from Turkistan Forumu. The one-way street doesn't please everyone. And perhaps most of the users of the forum do not understand Turkish indeed or they are not comfortable with it. I understand many other languages as well, but it doesn't mean that I'd welcome their appearance throughout the forum.

Besides, there is a rule according to what you are not allowed to post Turkish messages anywhere except for your priviliged designated area (Turkistan Forumu). Before the rule is changed, make a favour and restrain from posting in Turkish and warn those who do so using the moderator's power you wield. That would make you seem and sound fair.

Cheers.

Bilge_Kagan, please.

Bukharan dude, you keep bringing up your 6 warnings, so as one of the reasons you got them was me, i think it would be appropreate for me to add my thoughts on the subject as well.

First of all, the first link you have brought, the guy is punished with infractions (please note that the warning system is changed, now moderators give infractions)

Secondly, there are hundreds of occasions where Turkish users were warned for using turkish language in other boards.

Thirdly it is not always possible for the moderators to follow every single thread, especially in the general board, uzbekistan problems and solutions or religion and culture. Thats why the users are encouraged to use "report the post" function before opening threads like this one.

Forthly, as I have noticed, many turkish users are at least trying to write in uzbek, doing the best they could.

And finally, although I do not support or find it proper, the places where Turkish users use Turkish, they are talking to people who speak Turkish but what you have done was writing in Russian having full understanding that noone speaks the language. But non the less, I think they should not use turkish language in other boards.

Now the claim that there are double standards are baseless as moderators are doing what they can to prevent that. Your warnings were for insisting even after you were told verbally not to use russian both by me and other moderators but you insisted in writing in russian.

I hope it clarifies the problem.

Turkistan Forumu is small, and apparently the moderators work on it zealously. whereas other forums are huge and moderators basically don't have any time on cleaning the posts. however, i can assure you that people who write in turkish in other places usually get warnings. i don't think its double standards.

everytime you see someone writing in another language, just report it. let the moders take care of it. Or just -1 the post and let other users know that its against the rules. I always report "bad" posts, be it racism, insult or written in another language.

this forum would have been a better place if people would stick to rules. moders are not paid for this job. and some times they might ignore some things. or be reluctant to do some "cleaning" the threads.

Cheers dude. That explained a lot and I hope the new system is working well.

How about the second link I brought? Did he get what he deserved automatically as well or aren't you sure?
