I am dying to get a tiny rabbit (karlikoviy, so that it does not grow) like in the pictures attached :love:. They sell them in Europe in the streets like our Broadway.

I searched the Petsmart website, but did not see them offer any rabbits :crying: Anyones knows whether they sell them in the US at all?

Once I find and get it, the next questions posted would be how to properly take care of the little ones.

Go to almost any pet store and they will have rabbits (not a big chain pet supply store). They can help you with everything you need to take care of them too. You could check craigslist or the newspaper ads for people selling rabbits too.

One warning- they stink. :shock:

But they are so cute. I am not a big pet fan, but cant resist these baby rabbit charm..

I used to have 2 super cute parrots and they could talk. One of them died so I felt sorry for the other one and let it free... I guess I blamed myself for the birdie's death since I never wanted another pet again...

Also I don't think they make all animals wait 30 days in every country in quarantine. I know people who brought dogs from central asia back to the US and they just need records of shots.

они грызут все так как у них чешутся зубы... ну когда увидите что оно что-то грызет, отбирать... ну вобщем недавать им возможность привыкать))
и еще с детства учите ходить "по делам" в определенное место, например в клетку...
поначалу держите его в клетке и иногда только выводите в квартиру...со временем выпускайте больше и больше, как только поймете что он нужду справляет в клетке и не грызет ничего... можете давать ему полную свободу :)

Зато Ночью он будет тебе отганять комариков и тихо на ушко расказывать скажки...нежно облизывая пальчики..

а от кролика и птичек нет толка..
их ведь сразу надо брать парой..

это просто маленькие, приятные на ощупь тварюжки))

кролики - это не только ценный мех..

I am deeply upset. The residence manager says I cannot have a pet. I tried explaining it'll be too tiny and cute to even call it pet (more like toy), not as big as cats and dogs, she said "No. I am sorry". She lets getting fish though. I dont want it. Only baby rabbit. :bawling:

зато такого мужичка потом не выгонишь на улицу, когда он совсем разленится и начнет откидывать свои вонючие носки перед диваном или засорять раковину своей сбритой шерстью,и потом они же долгоживущие какие... а это минус. Вот так захочется завести новую особь, а первого потом куда?

по теме: у меня была кошка, лет 10 назад, такая молчаливая такая воспитанная ( у нее такой характер был). сидим за столом (хонтахта то бишь) а она подойдет и сидит смотрит на тебя, если никак не реагируешь, то уже лапку на колени положит и уберет (напоминает что она здесь), и естественно идешь кормишь ее. кстати к гостям не приставала никогда. так что если заводить то уже то что не мешает и не производит много шума, не требует особого ухода, ну это так кому как захочется в принципе, то есть смотря по своему характеру.


а рыбки у нас тоже были... не то все таки, не приласкаешь не поговоришь с ними...

Я держал карликого кролика(купил в переходе в метро за 700 рублей в Москве). Кролики самые добрые и безобидные домашние животные, почти никаких проблем с ними... Едят абсолютно все - вискас, плинтусы, старые книги, волосы... колу могут попить.
Единственная проблема, то что они любят грызть кабели. И их почему-то не убивает током... поэтому если вы будете его держать не в клетке, то кабели нужно убрать повыше. Но есть вроде спецальные машинки которыми точят зубы грызунам... и говорят что это помогает. Или же с детсва их приучить не грызть.
Представила как ты сидишь воспитываешь кролика, приговаривая - Не грызи кабель, это вредно... :D

Well, then... How about if you ask one of your friends if they could take care of your bunny for you? You can visit him everyday and take him for a walk. I don't mean you should let it run around freely but that you should carry it around in your purse.

The only problem I now have is that i might be leaving to Uzbekistan soon and I'm sure I wouldn't trust anyone with my bunny but taking it with me is just too much of a headache for me. My friend has said that animals also need visa and ticket and everything:( Anyways, we'll see what happens...

I lived with a lady from Gambia who was doing a postgraduate. SHe probably was my mom's age, maybe a bit younger. So, we all called her a MOM at home. SHe had a horse back home and left the horse with a cousin to be looked after. She loved the animal, always talked about it to us and phoned to check how she was doing.
I remember she got too upset when she heard the bad news of her death. She actually got a flight to Gambia and on her return she told us they have used a horse to carry water from the river. Horse didnt get food on time. Considering she was a fairly wealthy lady, I think horse was mainly kept for riding and passion but never did a household chores.

My another friend in Edinburgh is an animal freak(no wonder why she does zoology). She has like 15pets. I stayed 2weeks for Christmas and actually got in love with the environment. SHe had 5rabbits in the garden, two horses kept in nearby "othona", 2dogs, a cat, guineapigs,fish and parrot. Again, hers was a wealthy family that afford to keep all. At the mo, am not sure if I can afford a cat:)
I'm fond of fish as well. We used to have when I was little back home then I think my brother sold the bid aquiarium we had to make a pocket money:)

Maybe cat and fish one day. (what a brilliant combination lol:D)

у меня тоже был хомяк по имени "суслик". мог жевать морковку часами. убежал из дома и не вернулся.

ещё была собака - овчарка по имени "альфа". оч.сообразительная была и умная. тоже убежала.

i remember when i was a student in tashkent, used to live with my friend in a flat.
we had an aquarium full of fish. we used have lots of our friend coming to make plov 3-4 days a week.

so in one of the days, one of our friends wanted to test them, and put some salt inside. then the ash of his cigarettes.
after two hours half of the fish were dead!

only 2-3 survived. others died within next 3 days even if we have changed water immediately.
since then, we stopped being interested in fish. :)

Я люблю Кошек (наверное все догадались по моей аватарке) :D Я люблю их за их независимость, и за их загадочность. Так же кошки, если их любить искренне они отвечают лаской и преданностью.
Еще говорят, если кошка сядет (по своей воле) на место где у вас болит, то эта боль у вас пройдет. В детстве у меня дома часто жили кошки. Некоторые приходили сами. Просто забегали домой и оставались.
Помню один случай когда мне удалось приручить черную кошку. Очень была красивая, черная шерть так и переливалась. А после того, как она стала есть из моих рук она потолстела и стала еще красивей. Я любила сидеть с этой кошкой на руках и гладить ее, когда мне было особенно грустно и плохо. Это успокаивало...

А еще у меня дома жили хомячки, но к сожалению эти маленькие животные так и не прижились у меня. :( С рыбками та же проблема. Еще у меня жили ежики, и черепашка. Я их тоже очень любила.

I am dying to get a tiny rabbit (karlikoviy, so that it does not grow) like in the pictures attached :love:. They sell them in Europe in the streets like our Broadway.

I searched the Petsmart website, but did not see them offer any rabbits :crying: Anyones knows whether they sell them in the US at all?

Once I find and get it, the next questions posted would be how to properly take care of the little ones.

У моих друзей есть точно такаяже собачка.
с 2-х месячного возраста они стали его приучать к домашней пище.
теперь ему уже 1.5 года и он жрёт все подряд : арбузы,дыни,огурцы, помидоры и мандарины.Ужасс - не собака а козлик.:D

А у нас дома в Ташкенте была немецкая овчарка, она любила воровать сладкий красный перец и красную морковь! :D

In Barcelona airport, I saw a couple (they were lesbians, I guess, since the lady in the picture looked and acted too musculine) and they had that tiny-tiny puppy. It was so little (I thought it was 1 or 2 days old) and was all trembling and could not even walk properly.

The puppy was too cute. They dressed her up and the lady was feeding her with a bottle. I asked where they got her, she replied they bought in the street and the puppy was actually about 2 months old. :shock: Then, I thought, it might be sick or smth since it was too skinny and shaking and falling as an infant..

Anyways, I took the pictures as I found the puppy adorable.
