condensed gas: 480 million tons at $150 a ton = 72 billion
gas: 5095 billion m3 = at $400 a 1000 m3 = $2,038 billion

Umm...coz all the money goes into the pockets of private individuals, and that's why people are "smoking bamboo".

Haven't you heard yet?

Gazprom's export price for Europe in June was 410 $ for 1000 cu m.

I can only tell prices set by FST Russia in 2007 for local market:

Wholesale of condensed gas was 3500 RUR per ton as of 1 January 2007.

so even if our country manages to take it's yearly exports of gas to 50 billion m3 (and manages to sell it at that price :D ), it will add only $20 billion to our economy ($723 per head), not very much :(

so we keep exporting our human resources for now :D (until prices for gas and oil soar even higher :D )

Or until they find an alternatives for these resources. And that's when we get **cked up completely.

Uzbekistan produces around 60 bln cu m of gas per year and only 25-27 % of which is exported.
According to the state "Uzbekneftegaz" in 2008 it will export gas to Russia about 12.75 bln cu m (in 2007 - 10 bln cu m) and around 3 bln cu m to its neighbours.

As for export price, I read for Russia this year it is about 130 - 150 $ per 1000 cu m.
