I almost agree with you , except one. You was informed wrong. There is physical love Hereafter!!! And it is even better and more pleasant than here. YES, one can make it and this is not bad, but his/her reward for his/her obeyance to God Almighty.
If one can keep what is inside his/her mouth( tongue) and what is between his/her legs, it gets to him/her easier to achieve it. If you dont believe me ask knowledgeble people.

What if one gets there, but most of his friends will have to go to hell?
I would personally miss my friends very much. But is there a chance to be with those friends in heaven? I think no.

Besides, I want to know from the knowledgable people: does it mean that if you abstain from all the prohibited temptations in this life, you'll get them in the outer life?
