Bugun O’zbekiston Futbol federatsiyasida terma jamoamiz murabbiyi Vladimr Salkov jurnalistlar bilan matbout anjumani o’tkazdi va terma jamoamizning tayyorgarligini 10 ballik sistemada 7.5 bilan baholadi. ‘Besh ballik sistemada 4 qo’ygan bo’lardim, 10 ballikda 7.5’, dedi bosh murabbiy.

Vladimr Salkov hozirgi tarkibdan to’liq qanoat hosil qilmaganmish. Uning aytishicha, bizga Rivaldo, Figu va Zidan kabi futbolchilar yetishmas ekan. ‘Men aynan shu uchalasini bir jamoaga yig’a olsam, g’alaba qozonishim aniq deb ayta olaman, hozirgi O’zbekiston terma jamoasi bilan esa ertangi o’yinlarga bashorat qilishni xohlamayman’, dedi V. Salkov.

Matbuot anjumanida tashkiliy masalalar ham muhokama qilindi. Muxbirimizning yakuniy tarkib borasidagi savoliga esa V. Salkov tayinli javob bermadi. ‘Men tarkibni o’yinga besh daqiqa qolganda ham hech kimga aytmayman, o’yinda ko’rasiz’ dedi. Salkovning ta’kidlashicha, jadval Iordaniya uchun mos qilib tuzilganmish. ‘Biz avval kuchsiz jamoa bilan o’ynab, kuchimiz kamaygani sayin kuchliroq raqibga ro’baro’ bo’lamiz – Taypey, Turkmaniston va Iordaniya. Raqibimiz Iordaniya esa avval asosiy raqibi Turkmaniston bilan o’ynaydi, keyin Taypey bilan. Tabiiyki, ikkinchi o’yinda ular deyarli kuch sarflamay, o’zlarini uchunchi o’yinga hozirlashadi. Buning ustiga ikkinchi bosqich aynan ular maydonida o’tkaziladi.’

Anjuman oxirida xorijiy jurnalistlarni suhbatga tortib, shuni bildikki, Iordaniyada keyingi bosqichga chiqish deyarli aniq ish deyilmoqda ekan, ‘Hammasini to’plar nisbati hal qiladi, o’zaro o’yinda bizni yengolmaysizlar’ dedi “Al-Ray” gazetasi muxbiri. Xitoy (Xitoy Taypeyi emas, Xitoy) matbouti vakili esa O’zbekistonni asosiy raqib (ikkinchi bosqichda Xitoy uchun) deya e’tirof etdi va bizga omad tiladi.

JORDAN AIM FOR TICKET TO KOREA/JAPAN

Kuala Lumpur, 20 April 2001 -
Jordan and Uzbekistan are both confident of claiming top spot when the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan Group 7 (First Round) qualifying matches commence on April 23. With only the group winners qualifying for the next round it is going to be an all-out tactical battle between these two rising powers of Asian football.


The Jordanians under Yugoslav coach, Branko Rasovic have been in preparation for this competition since last August and the squad is in high spirits.Rasovic, who is a replacement for the late Ricardo Carugati believes that this is Jordan’s best chance to qualify for their first ever World Cup.


The main threat to the Arab side’s hopes will be Central Asian powerhouse, Uzbekistan. The Uzbeks have the luxury of being able to call upon many professional players who turn out for Russian clubs and the team is aiming to lay to rest their embarrassing performances at the 12th Asian Cup in Lebanon with a strong showing.


Jordan and Uzbekistan are joined in Group 7 by Turkmenistan, who could well be the dark horse of the group and Chinese Taipei. Going by the FIFA rankings, 162nd placed Chinese Taipei will most likely end up being the whipping boys of this group.


The four teams will play two rounds of group matches the first takes place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from April 23-27 while the second round is from May 3-7 in Amman, Jordan.


The 10 Asian Group winners qualify for the next round where the 10 teams will be divided into two groups of five. The draw for the two groups will be held on June1 in Bangkok, Thailand.


The teams that have already qualified for the Second Round of the competition are IR Iran, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar. The winners of the two Second Round groups will qualify directly for the Final Competition of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan.


The runners-up in the two Second Round groups compete in a play-off on a home-and-away basis to qualify for the play-off with a European team. The winner of this match-up will book a place in next year’s FIFA World Cup.
