Iraq qualified for the second phase of Asia’s World Cup qualifying tournament after a 1-1 draw with Kazakhstan left them on top of Group Six in the continent’s qualifying competition.
The game turned ugly as Kazakhstan pushed forward looking for the winner, with Igor Avdeyev SENT OFF three minutes from time while Almas Kulshibayev and Iraq’s Abdul Wahab Abuhail were given their marching orders in the last minute of the game.
