UTA I agree - there should be some Neftchi players since they are really kicking ass in Uzbek championship. At least they should be given a try. And what about Bahtiyor Hamidullaev who consistently becomes 2nd or 3rd top scorer while playing in the mediocre club "Andijan". He was very good in Malaysia when Uzbekistan won some MeXXXXXX cup. While I personally dislike Oybek Usmanhodjaev - I've heard he is doing ok in some top Kazakh club.
ALL OF THEM SHOULD BE BETTER THAN THIS PRICK JAFAR!

Salkov decided to strength Uzbek defense against China and assigned defenders to stand up in opposition to attacks as ‘Chinese Wall’ at the match. Consequently, ‘Chinese Wall’ was nationalized. Undoubtedly, focusing on defense expecting 90-minutes lengthy continuous attacks could erode resistance at any time. For the first half, Uzbek defenders hardly survived from the Chinese goal and many predicted that Salkov would strength the front line by replacing wandering Uzbek forward player Irismetov and doubling a forward player as long as this was the only way to get the desired result. But the head coach did not change his tactic and eventually his ‘Chinese Wall’ was eroded by continuous attacks by China. Thus, the loss was not fault of Uzbek defenders but the tactics that Uzbek defenders came up with.

Uzbekistan used a 4-5-1 formation and declined the most functional 5-3-2 or 4-4-2 formation against China.

Polyakov: He was regarded as a number one goalkeeper to keep Uzbek team alive from loss. But he made a number of mistakes such as discharging the ball from nowhere, failing to fight on the air against tall Chinese players. 3,5/10

Ashurmatov: He proved his talent once again. He was real unbreakable defender. Chinese players could not score in his wing. He even succeeded to hold his anger back that is what Salkov demands from him all the time. 8/10

Fayziev: He played next to Ashurmatov in defense. He successfully standed up against continuous attack at the first half but the second goal scored by China from free kick drifted from his assigned spot. However he can’t be blamed for this as long as he had to fill Lushan’s position as well. 6,5/10

Lushan: As a central defender, he was expected to give a much effort to sustain the heart of nationalized ‘Chinese wall’. He fulfilled his task successfully at the first half but the second half ruined him both physically and morally, as he could not keep his anger back and eventually he was sent off thereby throwing his team to trouble. In addition, he needs to skip the Uzbekistan – UAE this week due to red card. 4,5/10

Khvastunov: He could not ward off Chinese attacks in his wing many times. Apparently, he will have a rest in the following match. 4/10

Vlasichev: He felt unhappy to play in defense though his post was in midfield. Seemingly, he forgot that it also depended on him to arrange counter attacks at times while helping defenders. 3,5/10

Kosimov: He was thrown back of the midfield by Chinese players and always wondered how to move on to the front line to provide an opportunity for goal. But the match was not his, as he could not meet fans expectation. 4,5/10

Shirshov: It was too match for him to bridge the long scattered gap between defense and forward. He lacked a player to meet his cross in the box. 5,5/10

Davletov: He showed commitment regardless of his injury. But most opportunities created by him have gone ineffectively due to short of player in the front line. 7/10

Maminov: He was one of the finest individual players. But as a playmaker he failed to demonstrate commitment most of the times. 4,5/10

Irismetov: He was the only Uzbek player who was assigned to play in the forward and many things relied on him. But he did nothing than wandering on the pitch. What was intolerable is that he failed to complete golden opportunities when all he had to was just to kick the ball to the net. 2,5/10

Uzbek media is in the habit of criticizing the team as soon as all hope falls short. Accordingly, Uzbek paper published fans’ saying on the Uzbek team:

Alijon Boboev (Tashkent): To give a form and vigor to players, together with keeping a candidate in form to fill the post of any player in any case is a duty of the coach. Unfortunately, we can’t sometimes understand Salkov’s actions. How one could interpret Salkov’s saying: ‘There is no good players in Uzbekistan, only when there is players such as Ronaldo, Zidane in the team it is possible to get some desired results.’ Did Salkov come to Uzbekistan to work or discourse?

Isroil Rizaev (Sirdaryo): Our trusted goal scorer Irismetov contributed much to our loss to China. Disability to use opportunities created by his teammates is unjustifiable for a forward player of the national team. Jafar Irismetov could not make most of two golden opportunities; all he had to do was just to direct the ball to the Chinese net. But he proved too weak even in this field. Right, he played alone in forward that day. But nobody can justify him with this reason as long as he was assigned to the front line with a trust. He could not generate at least one opportunity en rout to the rival’s net. We keep hoping to watch at least ordinary goals of the team just like the ones scored to Qatar and Oman by Irismetov.

Krokobazuka, why do you dislike Usmanhodjaev? He plays for Esil from Petropavlsk, runners-up of last Kazakh championship and I can say that he is a quality player. As far as I know he was the top scorer of Uzbek championship 2 years ago with Dinamo Samarkand and also had a good time in Levski (Bulgaria). But I never seen him playing for UZ national team. What do people think about him? By the way he is not the only Uzbek player in Kazakhstan. Alexandr Zakharov and Erkin Nazarov also play in KZ.
About Irismetov. No doubt he possesses all the qualities needed, but unfortunately, he is not a "fighter", gives up too easily.

By the way, I am surprised not to see Ulugbek Bakayev and Zafar Kholmuradov in the team, as well as Andrei Fedorov (imho:the best defender in Uzbekistan).

Oybek is not a class player, he played for the national team in our previous attempt to the world cup, and scored nothing despite playing in every game. More than that, the class of the Kazakh league is not as good as even Uzbekistan's I think. But I might be wrong, they can be nearly equal.

I don't like usmanhodjaev coz he reminds me a dork on the field :) May he has changed a bit since the last time he played in the National team. As for a Kazakh league I see a lot of room for an improvement since now they are going to play quality european teams

I think Salkov should give a try to Hamidullaev

Well, all i can say about Usmonhodjaev is he is one of the fastest players in Uzbekistan. I have seen many times where he could escape from defenders. But he isn't lucky. He is sort of Irismetov, who can score agains "small" teames and wanderer in a big match.

I think the main reason to our losses is the overall weak physical condition of the team. Nel'zya vinit' v porajeniyah otdel'nih igrokov. Kto bi v komande ne igral, irismetov ili hamidullayev, poka nashi ne smogut sohranyat visokiy temp igri vse 90 minut, nam putyovku v world cup ne vidat'. Bud' u nih tehnika kak u Figo ili Zidana, za otsutsviyem fiziki vsya tehnika k kontsu matcha prevrashayetsya v nul'. Vam ne kajetsya chto v proigrannih matchah nashih prosto perebegali ? Vi videli kontsovku v matche s Qatarom? Ladno, hope it is not for ever..
