it's pitty that the game was fixed. Arabs cheated and also the Iranian Molla's loved Iran to loose, because of the riots. :(

Article says that Fifa has declined the petition. I'm really interested how they proved Iran wrong?

Cute their reasons are full of bullshit. they said that the disciplinary commitee of AFC has forgiven the bahrain's yellow cards. we all know that the AFC would say this, because it is run by the Arabs.

Oh God I am so angry, becuz sometimes unjhustice can win :C

They are really disgrace.
But is it the reason why FIFA has declined petition.
Is it that stupid forgiving the yellow cards. Where in world have we seen that, yellow cards being forgiven.
I just want to know the reason, if the reason is what you have told, that's just ignorance. :((

It's all because of the fact that AFC is corrupt and is run by the Arabs, they bribe reffree's and they can forgive the Yellow cards. It's not fair.

I think we should consider withdraw from AFC and join UEFA, or maybe building a new confederation, for Iran, Central Asia, Caucasus, And Russia.

have no idea about forgiving yellow cards and that stuff, but having watched the match on euro sport I had an impression that bahrain was better then iran in this game, iranian team did not excell at all, sometime players were too nerveous and rude,

they could have won them if they would play better,

anyway hope Iran will win against UAE and take revange for uzbeki team :)

Std,
It is not that Iran was better and lost. Losing is allright, even if FIFA agreed with Iran they would not have changed reluts but fine or suspend Bahrain.
BUT THE STORY IS REALLY INTERESTING, BECAUSE IT CLEARLY SHOWS THE ARAB GEGEMONY IN AFC. IF THIS KIND OF THING HAPPENS IN OUR LEAGUETEAM WOULD BE FINED AND THEY WOULD LOSE THE GAME AUTOMATICALLY. IT IS VERY SIMPLE. BUT AFC IS NOT EVEN OUR LEAGUE

Guys Iranian players were nervous and played bad. did u see the game, the bahraini's fell down and faking injury wheneverIran had ball position, of the whole 90 minutes of the game only 30 minutes were played properly. the red cards to Iran were unfair as this were those bahraini's who beat the iranian players and not vice versa. PS: no one expected the yellow carded players play, so they have destroyed the coach's strategy. But as cute said the important part is that AFC is corrupt and is run by the Arabs.

It is a shame for world's football. The fifa arguments rejecting iran'scomplaints are baseless. FIFA says AFC (Asian football federation) has forgiven the bahraini yellow cards? well this is an excuse wors than crime. AFC has no right to do such a thing. And we all know they have done this after this complaint and we all know AFC is corrupt. AFC is Arab Federation of conspiracy and not Asian Football Condederation. Shame on FIFa not taking action, what a bad day for world; fair play football. FIFA should be sued too. The Hague Netherlands

Bahrain have been cleared by world governing body FIFA of allegations of fielding ineligible players in Asia's World Cup qualifying tournament made by the Iranian Football Federation.

Wolfgang Sidka's side had been accused of playing several games with players who had picked up two yellow cards in previous matches but the claims were quashed in a statement released by FIFA on Tuesday.

The allegations had centred on the eligibility of Mohamed Husain Mohamed, and Khaled Al Doseri in Bahrain's matches against Iraq and Saudi Arabia respectively, with the Iranians claiming both should not have been available to play after picking up bookings in the first round of games. Other instances were also cited by the Iranians.

However, FIFA stated the players were eligible because "their previous yellow cards from the Asian First Round qualifying matches had not been carried over to the Second Round or because the player had served his suspension.

The Iranians made the claim after being forced into second place in Group A of Asia's World Cup qualifying tournament when they lost 3-1 to the Bahrainis on Sunday, a result that allowed Saudi Arabia to take top spot thanks to their 4-1 thrashing of Thailand.

Those results mean Iran will face the United Arab Emirates on Thursday in the play-off to decide who will face the Republic of Ireland in the game that will decide who qualifies for Korea/Japan 2002.

Bahrain ended up in third place in Group A having earlier led the table before consecutive defeats against Saudi Arabia and Iraq ended their qualification hopes.

Meanwhile, in Iran 700 people were arrested on Sunday night following the national team's loss to Bahrain after they attacked banks, buses and telephone kiosks.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@their previous yellow cards from the Asian First Round qualifying matches had not been carried over to the Second Round@@@@@@@@@@@@@

this is what I am talking about, it is against the FIFA rules, there is no other cases like this, I don't know why AFC should have made this an exception. For all teams it was the case, why not for Bahrain, and why when only exacution of the laws are bad for Saudi Arabia. such strange exceptions are made? :(

more:

FIFA's arguments are bull#####

Of course we should look forward, but the fact is that FIFA's rejection of Iran's complaint is based on bull##### reasons, they have violated their own regulation of cards. by cancelling the first roundd cards of Bahrain afterwards, and by saying that one identical players who changes the number of shirt is a different player and has no yellow card. It is like we give Daei the shirt number 24 tc... and saying this Daei is different he has no yellow cards.
