I'm doing my MBA in INdia. Now I'm on my second year. We have 4 options, namely Marketing, Human Resource, Systems and Finance.
We have a dual specialisation. From the beggining i want to say that I can not choose Systems, because I don't have an Engineering background.
I hope somebody will find my message, as I'm using this site for the first time, and I'm really conscious about my specialisation option. Pleace advise what will have scope in our country.
Faithfully yours, Nisha.

Finance!!! As long as there is economy, finance would be vital for any company.
As for marketing, what you learn abroad usually is not applicable in UZ.
Human resources field is wonderful, but again, maybe 10-15 years later you can see some benefits from being HR guru!
Choose Corporate finance, don't get screwed with i-banking or financial engineering!

I would definately go with Human Resources. I think it is the most important of all - that is how to understand people? In life we do not go out for a coffee with formulas or chairs. We deal with people. And people are all different, each individual requires tailored approach.
Human Resources will teach you how to understand human differences and how to deal with problems that arise as a result of interpersonal relationships.
I took Conflict Resolution class. We had to role play realistic situations, it was extemely beneficial. I will emphasize with big letters that indeed Uzbeks lack the knowledge in this area. And if you excell in it, your life will be easier.
Unfortunately, finance and economics will not work by themselves, its the efforts of individuals that make them work.
Basic comparison factors in the US:
- people are treated very carefully, their emotional state balance is respected
- children are respected from very early years (from 2 and on) and treated as wholesome individuals
- differences are respected
- individuals talk their concerns and promlems out in a respectful manner, not to win an argument, but to find a solution
There are more...
In conclusion, I would recommend you to strongly consider Human Resources. And upon decision to rip the benefits off in your favor (learn as much as you can) instead of waiting for the instructor to silver spoon you.

WW
