SIGNS OF THE HOUR OF DOOM
Although the exact time of Resurrection is a mystery to us, the Holy Quran describes its awful terrors and the final Prophet has told us of its signs. These are some of the signs of the Hour of Doom
There will be shortages, accompanied by insatiable greed.
Modesty will disappear.
Obedience and kindness to parents will become a thing of the past; their children will treat them like slaves.
The fear of Allah will be wiped from the hearts.
Hypocrisy will increase and homicide will be common.
Sinners will not try to hide their offences from public view.
Usury and the taking of interest will become commonplace.
The distinction between lawful and unlawful food will be ignored.
Illegitimacy will increase and will no longer be considered a handicap.
People will be respected for their money and wealth.
Flagrant sinners will raise their voices in society and in the mosques; such base and impudent people will get the better of honorable men.
Money held in trust will be treated like booty.
The alms-due will not be paid.
Men will become the obedient slaves of women.
Friends and acquaintances will be given more respect than parents.
Religious scholars will cease to practice what they preach.
Women will acquire masculine characteristics, while men will become effeminate. In other words, sexual deviations will become increasingly common.
No attempt will be made to promote what is right and proper, while things forbidden by the Exalted Lord will be imposed by force.
An evil state will be established in Jerusalem.
The unbelievers will carve up the Muslim world among themselves.
Finally, as the ultimate sign of the resurrection, no home in Islam will be free of discord and every throat will have swallowed unlawful interest.
I wonder if these signs have not appeared already? What do your own eyes, ears, mind and understanding tell you?

These signs have been used for ages to lure the young and inexperienced into the troops of Arab lords called the spreaders of Islam.
What I wonder is that these slogans do not wear out and still affect so many young men of ours, accounting for such movements as Taliban and maybe worse.
These old superstitions have no right to remain in our society. They point to a clear need to renovate it, free it from the chains of ignorance and hopelessness.
It is upon you, Umidies, to free your people!!!

It is better when the stranger will be tolerant in relation to the strangest and the Holy
Qur'an will be not "renovated" or changed (actually it cannot be changed).
First of all about Talibans and other extremistic groups - they may do whatever they want but
in their own places not in the territory of Uzbekistan. The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan says
Chapter Thirteen, Articl 61 "Religious organizations and associations shall be separated from the state and equal before the law. The state shall not interfere with the activity of religious associations".
So, one may not use religion to get to power and one may not also to use it as the state policy in Uzbekistan; BUT
According to the Constitutuion of the Republic of Uzbeksitan, Chapter Seven, Article 31
which says
" Freedom of conscience is guaranteed to all. Everyone shall have the right to profess or not to profess any religion. Any compulsory imposition of religion shall be impermissible."
underlines that everyone has a freedom in this case; but of course it must meet the requirements of the Article 29, Chapter Seven of the RU Costitution which says
"Everyone shall be guaranteed freedom of thought, speech, and convictions. Everyone shall have the right to seek, obtain, and disseminate any information, except that which is directed against the existing constitutional system and in some other instances specified by law. ..."
And as Umidie I want to ask the strangest what are you talikng about when you said
"These old superstitions have no right to remain in our society. They point to a clear need to renovate it, free it from the chains of ignorance and hopelessness"
By telling that Holy Qur'an is "old superstitions" you are showing your intolerance towards
the believers; the Stranger told in his introduction that these sayings are taken from Qur'an and Sunnah!
So to the strangest we can say that s/he is a kind of extremist and maybe also a terrorist! :).
According to Article 13, Chapter Two of the Constitution which says
"Democracy in the Republic of Uzbekistan shall rest on the principles common to all mankind, according to which the ultimate value is the human being, his life, freedom, honor, dignity, and other inalienable rights.
Democratic rights and freedoms shall be protected by the Constitution and the laws" and
the Chapter Ten, Article 43 says
" The state shall safeguard the rights and freedoms of citizens proclaimed by the Constitution and laws"
the citizens of Uzbekistan have a right to believe in Allah and Qur'an as the Book of Allah and this right will be protected by the Constitution and the laws of Uzbekistan and the State guarantees it. This is how it is!
Further, Chapter Eleven, Article 48 says
" All citizens shall be obliged to observe the Constitution and laws, and to respect the rights, freedoms, honor, and dignity of others".
Other related provisions are
Chap.3, Art. 15. The Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall have absolute supremacy in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The state, its bodies, officials, public associations, and citizens shall act in accordance with the Constitution and the laws.
Chap.5, Art. 19. Both citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the state shall be bound by mutual rights and mutual responsibility. Citizens' rights and freedoms, established by the Constitution and the laws, shall be inalienable. No one shall have the power to deny a citizen his rights and freedoms, or to infringe on them except by the sentence a court.
Chap. 5, Art. 20. The exercise of rights and freedoms by a citizen shall not encroach on the lawful interests, rights and freedoms of other citizens, the state or society.
I hope it will be of some help to someone to know these things. Thanx for taking time to read it! :)

I seem to have missed that part in Qur'an, then. To me these statements in the initial posting seemed to be taken from the tretises of the Islamic scholars and old legends, not the Holy Book itself.
However, I am ready to express my apologies on the one condition that you will indicate the exact Suras and Ayats of the Holy Book that you are quoting here.
Stranger,
Could you please tell us whether this is a Sahih hadith or not?
"An evil state will be established in Jerusalem."

A little comment to be added here
>These old superstitions have no right to remain in our society. They
>point to a clear need to renovate it, free it from the chains of
>ignorance and hopelessness.
Here I meant we have to renovate the society, not the Holy Book. Sorry if the context misled you somehow.
And again, I seriously doubt that Stranger's statements are direct quotes from the Holy Qur'an. Like I said, I would appreciate if you could show the exact sources. As we know, a true Muslim does not make undocumented statements.

Yep. The Doom is coming... The last time I heard its footsteps was on Dec.31 1999. Also, it was heard widely on the eve of 1899. I also heard from a street preacher that Jesus is coming on Nov 18, 2000, and man, is he pissed off. The 'Doom' almost dropped its sandals during Cuban missile crisis, but changed its mind.
"Stranger," a real 'Doom' was and still happenning inside of your head.
Advise Go and listen to 'Cranberries' a song titled 'Zombie', you'll get the idea :)
