...The nominees for Asian Coach of the Year award are the late Mahmood Rakhimov
of the Uzbekistan national side; Japan's Jubilo Iwata coach, Takeshi Kuwahara;
Radjku Avramovic, who led the Kuwait team to victory in the Olympic qualifying
round; and Philippe Troussier, who was coach of the Japanese Under-20 team in
the World Youth Championships at Nigeria. Also nominated is China's women's
World Cup coach, Ma Yunam.

COACH OF THE YEAR: Mahomoud Rakhimov of Uzbekistan, who was
killed in a car crash in December, was adjudged the coach of the year and
awarded the prize posthumously. He guided Uzbekistan to the Asian Cup finals
and was one of the biggest binding factors in the side.
