The average per capita income made up 144,200 soums in 2001, which is 49.8 percent higher compared to 2000, Chastnaya Sobstvennost newspaper reported quoting professor Bazarbay Berkinov, deputy director of the Scientific Research Institute for Deepening Market Reforms under the State Property Committee. This growth has considerably increased the investment activity of the population, the scientist said.
Damn! Per capita income in 2001 was only mere 120 bucks! :o It's depressing :(
